Actually a true liberal is nuanced. What most people on the Left are now is Progressive/Dem Socialist. We have very few true Liberals. Think Joe Rogan, etc.

Is the logic to how they ranked foods detailed anywhere in non-convoluted terms?

I'm to the point of doing the opposite of what the media/govt tells us to do. I've never been a fitness person, nor have I been anywhere close to driving a cart around to shop. But I honestly did buy into this food pyramid crap. Always feeling like I needed plenty of fruits and vegetables along with bread etc.

Now I've started raising my own meat rabbits. Have a decent sized flock of laying hens. Getting ready to start my first 25 meat chickens on pasture, along with getting 3 or 4 steers to raise on grass as well. While I'm at it started growing Kale and spinach hydroponically all year for my good dark greens. Never felt better. It's depressing how bad the Sugar industry has it's hooks into us. They genuinely want us fat and incapacitated so we can sit in our stalls and order stuff online while they harvest our votes and what's left of our money/time.

Again... not a health and fitness guy but damn a lot of this just goes against any common sense at all.

Weird bump indeed, but worth being repeated over and over.

I'll pile back on to remind people that Waffle House is terrible, ironically, because they don't use fricking butter!

Instead, they use big plastic bottles with handles of some bizarre frankenfood concoction that is absolutely horrific for your cells.

Partially hydrogenated vegetable oil (soybean oil, coconut oil, corn oil, cottonseed oil, canola oil and palm oil), soy lecithin, natural and artificial butter flavors, beta carotene (color), dimethylpolysiloxane an antifoaming agent added
