Marketing gimmick. Don’t worry about exogenous ketones just keep your carbs low <20g net daily and protein around 20-25% and the ketones take care of themselves.

Yesterday was my first full day of Keto. How do these look?

Looks really good. Just remember MFP tracks total carbs and doesn’t break it down to net carbs. That’s one of the reasons I prefer carb manager.

What are your goals?

I'm aware. I wish that it did but I don't want to pay $40 a year for Carb manager to have my Iwatch be able to sync to my food/fitness app.

6'3" 285 lbs. Wanting to get back down to 220 lbs area eventually but more importantly, I just wanted to get a healthier lifestyle and more energy.

It syncs to my Apple Watch in the sense that it imports my macros, but doesn’t track my fitness. I don’t use the fitness functionality on macro trackers because I manually adjust my numbers and don’t rely on the app to say oh hey you ran 2 miles you burned 1000calories! Which is blatantly false. Just be careful.

Good deal just keep moving forward and with Keto it will be no time before you start feeling the results.

I'm creating an account now on carb manager to give it a whirl. I'll see how it goes for logging my food then just rely on MFP for the activity data.

OWSA,

Where did you find your ingredient for the Ketoaid?

Im having trouble finding nu salt and food grade epsom salt

I can order it online but we're coming up on 48 hours in the 72 hour fast and could use the boost.

Also, why do you mainly recommend Kerry Gold as opposed to just plain butter?

Started back eating this way 1/2/19. In 6 days I’ve dropped 7.4 pounds. Honestly I love it. I have zero trouble with this WOE. Really wish i wouldn’t have abandoned it for the holidays and gained. I would be really close to a big goal if I would’ve stayed disciplined.

Just go buy epsom salt from the medicine isle. It’s food grade if you read it. Not sure where you are located but our local frocery store has nu salt.

I was coming to ask about this. I added my walk into Carb manager and it adjusted my daily totals. How accurate is it? It said my walk was 330 cal. That seems about right for my height and weight

I just go to the grocery store and it’s all there in the aisle with the spices. The epsom salt is with the bath products. Make sure it’s one intended for oral use as well as a bath salt.

It’s grass fed and has more vitamins. Also tastes much better. If it’s too expensive just get a butter that fits your budget, but make sure it’s butter and not shortening, margarine, etc.

I love it as a WOE. I always laugh when people say it isn’t sustainable. Everything I eat I legit love to eat and is satisfying.

There’s so many variables that can affect the amount of calories burned. Personally I just start in a deficit and don’t increase or decrease calories based on my workouts. Periodically I adjust my macros up or down based on weight loss independent of exercise.

My weight has been fluctuating up and down a lot lately +/- 5-8lbs. My hydration is on point and my macros are solid. I’m losing a little too much right now overall so I’m going to bump up my macros slightly from 3000 to 3200 calories on workout days and from 2500 to 2700 on non-workout days and see what the scale shows me in a week or so.

This is a perfect example of tweaking your macros once you start to get lean. For anyone who needs to lose a lot of weight don’t mess with your macros unless you are extremely off target.
