Same here

Been listening to his podcast with Sevan and Josh. He said he never really decides until the rules and format comes out.

I wonder if that had something to do with it?

I'm sure that was a factor. Training to compete in front of a camera, not in-person audience of thousands (in addition to broadcast viewers) has to take some wind out of the sail given rigors associated with that level of training.

Unfortunate given he's the GOAT, but cant' say I blame him.

still not the goat. Rich is still the goat.

But big blow to the sport, hoping he still competes in some form like Rich has.

But comes a time where you have to step away. In all honesty Fraser is either the goat or right under that and with so many wins in a row, I can see why he is retiring. Especially with the dumb rule changes.

What are some of the "dumb" rule changes? Use to follow the sport more, but I am out of touch now.

Not surprising. What more does he really have to prove?

well they changed completely the format, no more open and then regionals. they are trying to take people from oversees even if scores are not as good as americans and now from my understanding the games will be just on tv with no audience. big covid clusterfrick essentially.

Froning about to switch back to Indy, win 2 more titles, and retire again with 6 Indy gold medals.

His whole team has to be revamped due to the new team rules. You have to live within 100 miles of the Affiliate and you can’t be listed as the principal owner of another affiliate.

Panchik gets knocked out via both of those rules and Chyna Cho lives in Cali and Percevecz lives in New Hampshire.

I saw that he named a new team last week.

3 other people I have never heard of before but they have CFGs and Regionals experience.
