44 year old male and Got my testosterone levels tested and my level was 447. Testosterone clinic wants to optimize my levels and get it to around 600. Will this actually help me?

From 450 to 600 you may not see a huge difference. Get to 800-1000 and you’ll notice it.

are you currently on test? if not the last thing you need to do is get on it for one test that was still decent. get mutiple test done and establish a trend.

how is your diet and training? if its not optimized, do that first.

sleep....optimize it

are you taking zinc, boron and a couple other test boosters? if not go that route if mutiple test show you are low.

test- doest cause rage. roid rage is a myth. steroids tend to amplify your current traits with the exception of halo, mtren and for some tren itself. Eq can cause anxiety. but test....nope especially when talking wihtin the normal range.

as far as where you should go

1) 447 is not low
2) if you wanted to do something....dont just go to 600, thats stupid and a waste of time.
3) if you want to do something, go to 900 and get your free test checeked, get a full female blood panel done and check gh levels.

Totally agree with this, waste of time going from 447 to 600, you will not feel any difference, perhaps a placebo.

In my experience (and many others), you will feel the difference being low (say 200 or less), you will feel a difference going from low to "normal/average", and you will feel a difference at high levels (say above 800). Trying to go from 447 to 600 with TRT is a waste of time/effort/money IMHO.

In addition to what lsu777 said, I would make sure healthy fats are in my diet, as they are a precursor to testosterone. I also notice a difference training with heavy weights, compound lifts, etc. When I optimized my sleep, added zinc/ZMA, added more healthy fats, lift heavy, I personally went from around 200 to 400+ on my own.

It will help but won’t be as drastic as pushing up near 1000. I’m assuming they will gradually increase your levels while keeping an eye on your prostate levels and mood.

My last test had me around 980 but I’ve been on it for about 18 months now.

The T clinic wants to just make money off you. 447 will not qualify you for insurance (well 90% of the insurance companies), so you will probably be out of pocket. With all the blood draws for labs and shots will get pricey.

True story - I had some T level tests done a while back. Having sex the night before the 2nd test boosted my T levels up near 200 points from the 1st test.

Moral of the story - Have sex, lift weights and eat right. If you finally get to sub 300, then entertain TRT.

Follow what everyone else said, 447 to 600 is stupid. If you are going to do it shoot for North of 800.

Well, you are off the charts. You sure your free is not 30. Having 300 free would put you in Hulk territory

OK, probably just different measurements. Pg vs. ng, why can we not use the same

Yeah 300 would be off the charts for an 18 year old

curious, have any of those low T centers ever told someone they were good and didnt need help?

I always assumed those were snake oil places and didnt trust the numbers. I assume they tell everyone they are low

No, I failed before. Well at least from an insurance stand point. If you want to go out of pocket, they sure as heck will take your money. Most do other shots as well, so they will always give you something.

It's about symptoms, and numbers. So you might not be super low but if your symptoms are screwing you up, you'll likely get a script.
