It just gets old reading your posts when everyone is about how hard something is & that you may not go. I’m pretty sure that is the total opposite of the point of doing CrossFit. Your morale is not conducive to growth if your first inclination is to avoid everything that is hard.

Fine I’ll be the bad guy but I’m not the only one that thinks it when I see everyone else in this thread taking on workouts head on

I haven't gotten sick from a WOD since the intro wod, but this one got me nauseated as hell. Quads were on fire the entire time. I managed to run all 4 rounds at 400m without stopping, but I did have to scale to air squats. Took me a bit over 18 minutes to complete.

He’s right, though.

Cherry picking the workouts will never allow you to improve on the areas where you need improvement.

I asked the Coach to program 15.4 last week and she ended up scheduling it on Monday. I wasn’t able to try 18.1 until Monday, so I did the stupid thing and attacked 18.1 around 2:40 and joined the 3pm class to hit 15.4.

I detest long arse Workouts, and 18.1 crushed my expected 15.4 score. I was expecting 84+ but hit a wall on Cleans due to being completely gassed and was half that at 42Rx.

He's not. He has no idea what's going on in my life. He also has no idea why I go nor what I want to get out of it.

What is going on here?

Personally, I can only get to a class about 3 days a week at best. I try not to base when I am going on the workout because if I know things will suck then I know I need to work on those things.

However . . . my knee was stiff yesterday from Monday (have had multiple knee surgeries) and it was back squat and pistols. Knew it was a bad idea to hit that with my knee. So, I attached the assault bike.

When I joined, my goal was 3 one week, then 2 the next. Especially during daylight savings, because I got other shite to do with my daylight. I have surpassed that tremendously, and often make 4/5 per week. Skipping today because the workout is dumb and I need to not be sore for the weekend activities.

I started with 2, then 3.. I'm usually at 3 or 4 per week right now. Usually by #4 I'm damn sore and have some achy joints so I don't think I'm ready for more.

I wish I could make more Saturday morning. I enjoy those, but I have fish to catch and critters to kill.

Ours are team deals with no time.

BTW, 23 and Me report just came in. One part said, "AlxTgr, your genetic muscle composition is common in elite power athletes."

So, I may just walk around and be awesome without working out.

Rig should be fully operational soon at GCF.

We had it up and just needed to shuffle it around to its final location, tighten up the bolts and anchor it to the floor.

I started at two a week then went to three. Being a single Dad with custody keeps me from going more often. I had lost about 130lbs from my heaviest when I started but that wrecked my legs for some reason. Felt like I lost a lot of strength. Add two knee surgeries and squats just are murder for me.

1k row time trial is one of the most understated and difficult things in crossfit. We did one a few years ago and I legit thought I was on fire.

I have no idea how to pace. I am in the very early stages of learning how to be more efficient. T-rex arms and stump legs don't help

I go fairly hard the first 400 (85%), then from 400m - 700m settle in to a decent pace, then for the last 300m/250m give it your all.
