Late 20s and 5'10

I think that there is still some time before doing that. Let's see if I can use this post for accountability. If this fails then I think you are right to explore that option.

Appreciate it. The goal is to be under 200 by 40. I’ll be 37 in two months so I’ve essentially got three years.

Stuffed myself a bit yesterday, got plenty of walking miles in even if I didn't make it to the gym. I try to fight off the depression and anxiety, but some days like yesterday it wins. I mowed the lawn, cleaned up, but could have done more. Trick is to not make it ruin the rest of the week.

I keep bouncing around between 179-182 for the last week or so. I'm guessing I should probably just start averaging my weight instead of worrying about the daily weight?

Nothing else has changed with my exercise plan/eating, and I'm feeling great. I'm about 5 weeks into my TRT protocol, and I can absolutely tell a difference. When I'm working out, scouting woods, doing lawn work... I just want to keep going. I still get tired in the middle of the day sometimes but maybe I'm just old at 48 . I'll have my labs tested again in about 3 weeks and we'll see where I'm at.

ETA: Had my eggs within an hour of waking up, no screwing around today. I have to keep feeding myself to keep the appetite under control. It works!

264.2lbs this morning, so I'm sticking within my maintenance parameters. I did have some loss of appetite control at the end of yesterday, but not too bad.

I know my nutritional habits are slightly better in the past 2 weeks, but it also helps tremendously to be back in America and to be capable of engaging in my normal routines, mainly my daily walks. I've been slacking in the stepping department, and it's not just detrimental to my body composition and health, but my mental health really likes me getting outside and walking around our property and enjoying nature.

This is different, can't say I ever came across a baby skunk all by itself.

Brown tarantula just doing it's thing.

Walking around and seeing this stuff makes me happy, I left the gym once in Ho Chi Minh and there was a drainage gutter just full of rainwater and tadpoles. I wanted to scoop a cup full up and bring em home, but my girlfriend shot that down. I'm just a big kid!

Welcome Good luck with the journey. Cant help but laugh at the name

Holding steady under 200lbs since May. Made it through all the summer vacations and nonsense without gaining more than 5 lbs which I am proud of.

Time to buckle down and get the last bit of lumpy fat off my body. Based on the pictures yall post i must be just under 20% BF by now. I can see veins in my legs and arms. I can see the outlines of muscles in my chest and shoulders and slightly in the sides of my stomach. Still have some lingering boob fat I am tired of looking at. Going to spend Sept doing PPSA SuperSet. M-F I plan to be at or just under maintenance calories with Macros at 220g of protein and less than 30g of carbs. The weekends 200g of protein with increased carbs coming from sweet potatoes, fruit, and squash. No alcohol.

Kids are hell on routine and health. I was 34 and 270. Now 36 and under 200. You can do it

Do not get discouraged by dates or the time it takes. As long as you are making progress you should be happy. Whether its a pound a week or a pound a month, steady progress is steady progress.

Yep. Weekly meal prep has helped me stop binging. I have each meal planned out in advance and lunch and a snack packed with me at work. So i never have a reason to binge. Sundays I will allow myself a window in the evening to eat whatever i want within reason at supper as a reward.

This morning's weight(8/28): 263lbs.
Yesterday's morning weight was 264.2lbs.

I was expecting to see a bigger number on the scale this morning because I over consumed. I took in 4041 calories, which is over 1100 over Macrofactor's allotted maintenance calories at this time, but I went down 1.2lbs instead. In an attempt to analyze what's going on here, all I can say is that on 8/25 my weight was 263.1lbs, and I ate some pre-cooked, breaded chicken on that day, and a lot of bread in the form of a sandwich(several sandwiches actually, so lunchmeat as well), so it's just fluid shift from excess sodium. My body weight measurements of the past 2 days were a little extra juiced due to holding onto more water and now I've peed and sweated it out. Plus, I procrastinated last night and didn't start my walk until after 2300 and I wanted to at least try to hit my daily step goal so I was speed walking/jogging much of that final 57 minutes of yesterday. I didn't make it, but got a good sweaty, heart pumping cardio session done. That's probably why I'm so hungry now as I wake up, despite having already taken in over 4000 calories today. Just a reminder of why it's so important to stick to whole foods and avoid the highly processed stuff. From 3 days ago compared to today, I've only gone down 0.1lbs, but it seems more dramatic due to my weights from 2 days ago and yesterday being elevated due to water/sodium bloat.

This is good to know, it tells me that my maintenance calories are probably dialed in and I can probably even round up and eat an even 3000 calories a day. Not that I want to fall down the trap of trying to out-exercise a bad diet, if I keep up the step count I should be fine with 3000.

Whole food, every 4 hours, whole foods, 4 hours

Done on purpose

I did well the past few days with eating whole foods. There was a thread on the OT about how hard it is to overeat when eating whole foods which has mentally helped actually. A little hunger at night, but nothing like the hunger when eating a ton of processed stuff.

I've got my hour of walking in each day which has helped a lot as well.

Well done. I am also committing to eating better. I had ballooned up to 206.4. Getting 10000 steps. Did my max’s for Grasshopper and starting Monday.

Anyone in here know of a location that does DEXA scans in S. LA, preferably Lafayette. Only place I’ve found requires a MD order.

Maintenance program is still within parameters. Macrofactor has my weekly weight trend for the past 7 days at 264.1lbs, my last two weigh ins were 263.0lbs and 263.8lbs. It's only been a week and a half, but as this is my first attempt to pull of a "Planned Weight Maintenance Diet/Program", I was curious what would happen. Well, so far, I can say that what is happening is that my weight is fluctuating within a much smaller window than it normally would. I may have mentioned before, but most of the time when I try to lose weight, those cut periods in affect become maintenance programs because I yo-yo. I lose anywhere from 3-6lbs, and then I'll cancel all of that out by having a binge day. So my weight fluctuates within about a 10-12lb range, (5 or 6 up, and 5 or 6 down from my set point, which is...you guessed it, about 263-264lbs). This is not my intention, but it's just what happens to me because I haven't figured out how to properly lose weight obviously. At least not in a manner that consistently works well for me.

All that said, today is my first day where I'm fricking up badly, not because I've eaten what I shouldn't but because I haven't eaten at all and now my appetite is in control...not me. I got up at about 1900 last night, farted around, walked, lifted(started my warmup at 2345 last night and finished at 0530!!! WTF was I doing?), but I haven't eaten a damn thing. Why? Why do I do this, because now I have to have pizza, or something like that. I think this happened because I let myself get bored with my diet by trying to eat the same damn thing everyday. The last few days I started to get it in my head that I was a little sick of chicken thighs and I should go buy something else to vary it up, but I didn't and now I'm afraid it's too late. We'll see. I haven't eaten anything yet, but dammit I'd love some ice cream(I don't have a sweet tooth, so this is how I know that my head is in the wrong place as a result of this unplanned fast) and a pizza. Sometimes my mind gets into these manic/panic anxiety spirals. It's kinda chicken-egg, does my mind go in this direction and that causes me to spiral in other areas that require discipline and adherence to routine, such as diet? Or does the lack of routine and discipline in my diet cause my mind to spiral into panic mode? I'm never sure, but I always like to think I can control things because I don't like the thought of being a passive "passenger" in life. I want to take action!

First full week of the journey is done. Five pounds down and two days of grasshopper done. Doing day three today and I'm so sore right now that those squats may be the death of me later today

Any suggestions on dealing with the muscle soreness during the beginning stages of getting back into the gym after years off?

Hanging steady with the maintenance weight.

Macrofactor weight trend has me right on 264lbs, as well as my average weight over the last week still being 264lbs. Weighed in at 266lb this morning, but I've had 4 bowel movements since that, so I'm probably good. Sorry for the grossness! I don't usually have that happen, but I finally fell victim to the sweet tooth and put down 2 pints of Ben & Jerry's last night, and this is my penance, I don't usually take in that much simple sugar.

I feel good. I feel in control, but I can see lots of room for improvement in my routines/habits that will help me stay on the right path in the long term. I'm scheduled to work tonight but I'm on call again, so I want to take the opportunity to do some food prep. I need to do more of that and make sure I'm allowing myself more variety in my diet so I don't get bored. Also, with all the walking I'm doing, I need to make sure I eat enough carbs or I will pay for it later.
