Didn't think I'd see this much of a drop. All week it was trending ~266-267

nice,

so i did get the results of my MRI on friday. Not good news. I have cyst on both acl and pcl which is consistent with major trauma previously, so more than likely I tore or strained both really bad last year.

going to start friday with corticosteroid shot and go from there.

Damn man. I how the steroid injections help you out and you can avoid any type of surgery. I’m currently sitting in post op recovery room after tonsillectomy. This sucks a huge ballsack.

What prompted you to get a MRI? Sorry if you already posted the why earlier.

I felt a strange sharp pain in my left knee yesterday that I have never felt before and it has me a little worried.

i been having pain on and off since it happened. but i rehabbed a couple times and have worked back up to handling 300+ on squats but lately it has gotten way worse where the other night i went to sit down in the chair at the table and fell over as the knee gave out.

as far as surgery....good chance i have to get it scoped if not feeling better after the shot.

Hope they got it right for you and you can return to normal. Does a knee scope include removal of any floating cartilage?

Man i hope you get it figured out. One of my biggest fears as i start these programs is injury.

I am very cognizant as i lift of maintaining proper form. If i feel i wont be able to do the next rep, I will stop the set and make a note so i know to lower the max or rep count for the next time. I realize i am slowly building a lifelong habit, not sprinting wildly to a goal, so I am not worried if i have to re-evaluate as I learn.

I am also up to 199.6 this morning (270/199.6/185), but it will all be gone by next week.

Went to a celebratory dinner with my family Sunday and despite my plan to be good when we walked through the doors, i ordered and demolished an entire fried shrimp/oyster platter with hushpuppies and fries. My first actual large cheat meal in over 7 weeks. Absolutely delicious. Because of that, I spent the entire day Monday eating gas station pizza and kolaches and the little roller taquitos and potato chips. I woke up Tuesday feeling awful after a binge bender and put my nose back to the grindstone. I set up 5 days worth of meal prep last night and will be back to my routine and out of my cravings within a week.

As many of you know however, giving into that "cheat meal" triggers a binge cycle that's hell to break. I will just zone out and dream about Cooler Ranch doritos and fried carbs for the next 3 days. I'll push through it though.

mine has nothing to do with lifting. i was doing indoor snow tubing when i hurt it. Honestly because the muscles around it were so strong, i thought, oh...just kind of tweaked it. didnt even realize i prolly tore the acl and strained the pcl.

so dont be worried about the programs hurting you, quite the opposite

Well I dont think i have to worry about that at all

When i was first starting i had my max too high on bench and tried to push a final 2 reps at 85% and the last rep my form was so bad i felt a tweak in my shoulder. I took 4 days off and it went away, but it scared me. So I take it slower now.

well had another radiologist look at the mri.....not good news

1) the cyst is on the acl and its really big, doesnt think the pcl has cyst. thinks the one on the acl is so big its making it look like that. cyst is 3.1cm((i believe that is what he said) and it "quite impressive" according to him

2) cartilage is thinning a little too from this

so gonna go for the shot but, almost 100% gonna have to get surgery and get it all cleaned up.

Finally was consistent with food this week and saw some good trends at the end. Definitely makes me want to keep eating well.

post op recovery room after tonsillectomy.

The older you are, the more involved and longer the recovery after tonsillectomy. At your age, 10 days to 2 weeks recovery time, my friend.

When my youngest son was 10, the doc said about 10 days recovery time, and it was 10-12 days.

The good news is you will drop a few more pounds

Not gonna lie, it’s kicking my arse. Todays day 4 and pain still same as post op day 1, probably worse. Attempted mashed potatoes last night and was quickly humbled. Back to jello, popsicles, and smoothies.

After multiple weeks of 2-3lb drops I guess I can't be too disappointed by a maintainance lol.

Wasn't my most consistent week. With this storm coming this week is likely to be a shite how.

Just don't let one mistake turn into multiple mistakes.

Been very serious about my diet for a few weeks now in an attempt to lean out as much as possible before my vacation. No alcohol and staying true to my fasting schedule has been paying dividends. 29 days to go and hoping for 15% bf (will be checking via InBody scan.)

Major weight drop this week post surgery. Wasn’t a fun or exciting way to get there but goal is met nonetheless. 4 more days until I can return the gym, I can’t wait.
