Had a teeth cleaning this morning and mouth is sore. No desire whatsoever to eat. Just need to get that done once a week and I'll be skinny

Starting Grasshopper training program

1. Eat my already purchased meals each day without going off the reservation
2. 3-4 miles of walking each day
3. Pray I can do 1 and 2 without relapsing

I didn't want to start a new thread, but how much protein do you think you need? Information is all over the place and I'm trying to figure out how much I should be targeting. I believe I am lower than. I should be. So, I've been trying to make sure I'm over 120 or so. How did you come up with 200?

Today is Day 7 of keto and I believe I finally punched through the “keto flu” since my energy levels are amazing right now. Down about 10 lbs but I’m contributing that to water loss.

what is your size? are you lifting?

in general you can not have too much protein and its by far the best macro to eat. but if you shoot for about 0.82 per lbs minimum or just 1g per lbs and you will be getting plenty. if you are not lifting, then just shoot for around the .82 number.

in a caloric deficiet for the more advanced strength athlete its recommended to get between 2.4/3.0g per lbs of kg.

so with all that being said...just try and get around a gram per lbs of bodyweight and you will be more than fine.

I am 6'1 and weigh 174. Not lifting. I row 5-7 days a week, daily walking, calisthenics and push-ups (following an app). Trying to get under 168 or so by June. So about a pound a month right now.

So about 175g a day? That is alot, especially since I'm keeping my daily calories around 2100 right now. A lot of chicken in my future..

777 pretty much summed it up. I’ve read differing opinions on if it should be 1g per lb of body weight or if it should be 1g per lb of lean muscle mass. I’m 210ish pounds and lift regularly so I aim for a minimum of 200g per day.

I know weight fluctuates a good bit day to day but I was pretty bummed to weigh in at 210# at lunch after being 207# last week. I’ve been sticking to the plan so not hugely discouraged, but a bummer nonetheless. I need to get a scale for my house so I can take my weight first thing in the morning to get a better picture into my weight fluctuations.

yea i mean if you arent lifitng like he isnt, prolly get away with less but 175 isnt a ton to begin with.

I did a 6oz filet and a cup of egg whites with cheese yesterday and it showed my total as about 70g of protein. That was a little less than 700 calories. So I guess I need to up my portions and do that a couple of times a day..

the filet is 34-35g protein and 285ish cals. the eggs are about 70cals each with 6g protein. egg whites are 126 cals and 26g protein.

so you had 300 cals of cheese? and yea have that 3 times a day would put you are your caloric limit and would be a hell of alot more than 175g protein on the day.

Did first Grasshopper PPSA lift yesterday. Had a good time and a bit sore today.

Coffee then chicken breast & eggs for lunch.

Might hop on the walking treadmill to take calls today.

This morning, my misbehavior at brunch is gone. Now, I can quantify what a big cheat meal does to me. 2 days of misery and bloat.

I'm on the straight an narrow again. Back down to 249. I was at 255 again Monday from bloat. I progressed to Week 3 of the pushup program. I almost made it to the moderate category. My clothes fitting better. Let's get it!

Tunechi-Keep up the good work. It will pay off.

Grinding away slowly. Had some big meals over the weekend (pizza, shakes (2) and some chinese food). I will say that I absolutely get full faster lately which is great. I don't want to eat as much food which is even better. I get my calories in but easily pull away now with leftovers so far. Who wants to eat no pizza. I had 3 slices when last year on a cheat day I would have doubled that

Clocked in a 176.8 this morning down from starting weight of 194 on Dec 26. Goal weight is 172.

Diet has been on point. No alcohol. Daily brisk fasted 1 hour walks. 20 days till I'm cleared to start lifting again.
