This will be my next step. I need to cut WAY back. Covid lockdowns/ virtual school put me in some bad habits.

I've followed your posts recently and in the past ive also tried to "cut back", etc... It doesn't work. The reason it's working for me now is there is no cheating. There is no cheat meal. There is no "ill only drink 1 day this week". .. Made it my job.

Once I get into maintenance there can be more flexibility but for now it's business time.

I've given myself one day to drink alcohol between now and the trip to Cabo but I've always convinced myself in the past that I can keep it limited.

Yep, that's how I did it 3 years ago. It's time to do it again.

Same here, “rewarding” myself with weekend cheat meals was my downfall in the past. Not happening this time until I’m at my goal weight and in maintenance mode.

Mine wasn’t a reward, it was a serious lack of judgement due to hangover. Thus, alcohol has to go.

I've let things slip too, Chappy. Haven't had any big "cheat meals" but just not following my plan. Letting behaviors slip.

Too much beer throughout the week, not tracking diligently. I'm not expecting much from the weigh-in tomorrow. Lots of stress weighing me down; food and beer is usually a release and I'm leaning on those too much. I haven't touched alcohol in a few days now, just need to keep that up.

I can easily get back. Some people have more problems than others. My body has rejected big cheat meals, almost like grease is disgusting me now

Keep each and every receipt

Every choice has a cost

Make the best choice at each possible point until you surpass that goal

Until that time, no room for flexibility.

I'm having a hard time sticking to my diet goals. The workouts are coming along fine but damn it's hard to pass on that king cake sitting there or the doughnuts sitting in the break room.

Still holding strong, my hittas

Last night I had a sonic pretzel twist with my dinner, 250 calories. Guess that's better than a large pizza

Great day for the diet but H-E-B was sold out of fresh chicken tenders so I had to settle for some HCF skirt steak for dinner.

Workouts aren't pointless if you eat king cake. They're only only worthless if your only motivation to work out is weight loss, which is a terrible reason to work out.

I'm feeling good today. Tomorrow is my 1 month weigh in/belly check. I took 777's advice and got a piece of string around my belly at the navel and cut it. It's hanging in my closet.

Time to see what I have done. Ill report back in the morning.

Also, Monday-Wednesday, Ill be doing an egg fast if anyone wants to join me. My wife and "work wife" will be doing it with me. Lots of support. Here are the general rules and a meal plan. It's a great way to break through a plateau or help you get into ketosis.

If you are just starting keto or do not do keto, yes, it's atrocious.

However, when I am eating clean keto, I don't fart. It's weird going from a life time of flatulence to not farting at all. When I do fart, I have to go back and think about what I ate.
