W2D3 of DB

Body definitely has adjusted. Workouts getting a little easier as I go. Gonna up the DB weight I’ve been doing for the next 2 weeks after tomorrow

If you watch he usually lowers the reps a couple here and there. That’s when I go up to the next dumbbell.

W3D4 DB - 66 minutes

I don’t know if it’s this plan or more likely a combo of this and Strongville but my freaking quads are blowing up. I had to retire a pair of shorts yesterday because they looked ridiculously tight in the quads. I was wearing those no problem a few months ago.

I have to buy athletic fit pants (like probably most people here) and I’m noticing that even still to get them close to correct in the waist that they are fully stretched in the quads. My solution was to get a Fanny pack for phone and keys to maximize leg space; my wife was like “size up and wear a damn belt”.

That’s hilarious. They’re jealous of us. My wife is the one that made me retire the shorts.

No such thing as too tight in the quads.

That’s what I do. Meant across the board. If I’ve been doing 50s try 55s or 60, etc.

W2D4 done

W7D4 of Grasshopper down!

One more week then I'm going to move to Jacked Up Joker. In previewing the plan, I like the higher reps and superset combinations. Not a fan of all the rest time in between currently.

W3d1 of supersets done. 73minutes for the workout , this week works up to 85% on each main lift of the day, today was DL and it felt great.

Virus running thru my house taking us out 1 at a time so I'm sure this week will be messed up :(

Think I am taking a rest day today so I am synched up with my brother’s PPL when he comes to visit for a week.

Yesterday we did Pump City Day 15 (leg day2) with the plate loaded squat press instead of smith machine squats. After running that up to heavy weights we dropped back down and did a couple high rep sets and then our legs were toast for the Bulgarian/lunge superset and beyond.

We felt manly because our warmup set was higher than other people’s working sets on that squat press machine. However, it IS a retiree heavy resort haha

Did a mile jog first time in a few weeks and shaved off 18seconds.
Then did a mike with a 50lb kb , which challenged my left forearm and grip the most.
Then finished off with sprints

understand proper rest is really needed to build strength, power, muscle.

dont turn lifting into a cardio session. then its not good for either strength nor cardio.

W3d2 superset done, heavy squats today to 85%, they still challenge my core more than legs to remain upright well.

Coming along almost done with another program.

Anyone else see the President's Day Strong workout on Instagram? 8x8@65% on bench press had my chest pumped this morning.

In my last week of Hypertrophy Remastered. It’s my first PPSA workout and I really liked it. I’m thinking about doing Filling Out the Hoodie. I have exactly four weeks until a week long trip so the timing works. Any reviews?

I appreciate the feedback. I'm following the plan and not skipping the rest times. I'm just excited to try the supersets in Jacked Up Joker.

W8D1 of Grasshopper. Added a KB mile at the end with 2 -15 lbs.

Just started Young Grasshopper yesterday. What do y’all do on rest days?

I’m trying to get 10k steps a day so I’ll definitely be doing light jogging/walking.

What about doing some core work?
