I'm a Nike guy but the adidas weightlifting shoes are much better. They've been in the weightlifting shoe game much longer. They are my squatting shoes.

I actually have the below for deadlifts.

I like the lighter weight in the rom 3s. Quicker feet for Olympic lifts

Any idea why the ROM 3s aren't getting as good reviews as the 2's?

Most people have used weightlifting shoes before and are complaining about the weight And probably have only used them for squatting.

If that's all you're using them for, go with the heavier shoe. You might want to check out the legacy lifters by Reebok as well.

I like having quicker feet so I went with the 3s.

Also, the rom 2s were seen as the best lifting shoe ever, so anything different is going to aggravate people

BCG shorts/compression shorts
Nordic Lifting Wrist Wraps

Adidas Adipower (use solely for squatting and pressing)

How are the lifting shoes on squats and deads. I go with chucks until about 75% of my max and then it's socks only.

I like to use altra instinct running shoes for lifting. 0 drop, wide toe bed. Pretty perfect for me.

Wally I use them also. I run in the Torins, Ones, and Escalantes. Hates the instincts to run in but great for lifting.

Yea I used to be a brooks guy but I've really loved the altras I've owned. My instincts starting to show their age so I may be buying again. It looks like they almost quit making them but glad they didn't.

From what I've read and experienced is that if you already have flexible ankles, squat shoes aren't going to help much. For deadlifting, a raised heel is not good. It puts you forward and your hips shoot up. Barefoot is optimum but some gyms don't allow it so people wear Chuck's.

I look like a fricking slob when I go workout. I wear what's clean but my shoes are always on point.

A junk tshirt and the shortest shorts I can legally wear and a pair of asics that smell as bad as they look.

I have been pulling deads in Chucks for 20 years (mid 40’s now). I tried the competion shoes and did not like them as much as old school Chucks. I have also buried a 605 squat in Chucks. Gklad to see younger guys still using them.

Another shoe I like for squats and deads is the New Balance Minimus

My ankles aren't very flexibile. Before I got the adipowers, I was using 5lb plates on the floor as heel lifts to help me squat. Wearing the adipowers I can get lower than without. I use some miniminalist style merrells for my deadlifting.

I wear a bit of LVFT stuff, mostly Nike or just old arse t shirts. I don't really accessorize when I go to the gym, just something that is comfortable and doesn't stink.

I use 10lb plates. I have zero hip or ankle flexibility, but I also don't want to spend money on adipowers or romaleos

Going to buy myself some gym shark gear for Christmas if I hit some of my fitness goals.

As far as workout swag goes: nike hat, nike tank/tee, nike shorts, nike compression pants, nike flyknits.
