Day 3 BF2
You running BF2 five days a week? I did BF2 D1 yesterday, great workout. I think I’m going to like this one. I’m going to run it MWF, and try to start doing some running on T/TH
Posted on 11/2/23 at 8:12 am to LSUSports247
I'm going to run it 4 days per week.
Mon/Tues and Thurs/Fri.
I like this one. The flow and pace have been good. It's also hit on most every muscle group so far.
This should be a good one to close out the year on.

Christmas Big Bench
W1D2
This was a nice one. Took right at 1:15, so not too short or too long. Left me time for a short walk before work.
Lifts today weren't bad at all. Bench, SS squat/chin-up, OHP, BB Curls, and (weird one) BB behind the butt roll up
Today's grip circuit was very odd and after the first set I wasn't even sure I was doing it correctly. Hell after the 5th set I'm still not sure if I'm doing it correctly since I couldn't find a video of this specific exercise. I do know that I've never had that strong of a pump in my forearms. They felt like concrete.
Seeing as how grip and bench are my weak points currently, I REALLY think I'm going to enjoy this plan.

Those are awesome actually. I wish he’d program them more.
Let the bar roll down to just your fingertips, then roll back up. That’s how I do it.

This is what I did, just behind the back. Is this what you are talking about?
Example?

Not even close to what I do. It's more of a curl action using your forearms.

Has anyone done 70s Big?
Posted on 11/2/23 at 10:11 am to jose
I may run that one next if I don’t go straight to hoodie 2. I like the idea of working out every other day, that way I can do abs and cardio on the days in between, I need to start shedding some fat eventually. Been bulking since July

I thought that was the case, but I hadn’t seen anything about the release. I saw it on the website this morning.

Someone talked about running 70’s in January. That would work for me after 8 weeks of BF2
Posted on 11/2/23 at 2:10 pm to LSUSports247
This is my plan, I’m cutting for the next couple months to lose a bit of fat and then I’m going to start 70’s big in January and kind of want to experiment with using it as my “default program” for most of the year with a focus on building muscle. My plan would be to run it 4x a week 2-3 times back to back and then choose a plan that is more weak point focused or just as a change of pace before starting again.
It has everything covered that I want in a program. I’m finishing elbow meat now then plan on joining you with BF2 which I’m excited about!

So far, BF2 has kicked arse. At first, I was planning for a month. Then I realized it'll go a little longer. If I still like it once it's done then I may just run it the rest of the year.
I've got the Seesaw locked and loaded, just waiting on me.
I plan on buying Strongville, too.

Day 4 BF2
Big 3 Strength
Back Squat, Bench Press, and Deadlifts was a great wat to start and finish week 1.
Just finished up. Right at 90 minutes with some extra warmup sets sprinkled in for an old man.
First time I've ever done Pendley Rows. I have missed out, for sure.
Ready for a weekend break and then I'll get back after it Monday morning.

Christmas Big Bench
W1D3
Really enjoying this program. Only issue is the rests seem too long. I've been cutting them down about 30s. The grip circuits are absolute torture and my forearms are on fire when I finish up each day.
Today was bench, pendlay row, BB 21s close grip bench, pushups, shrugs, and 90/90 DB wrist rotations.
The Pendlay rows, BB bench 21s, and 90/90 wrist rotation were all new to me. I don't like to slam weights (even on deadlifts), but I did find myself making more noise than usual on the Pendlays when going back down. I really enjoyed the explosiveness of them. As far as the BB 21s, I think I was scaring myself with them. They were actually a lot easier than I thought and I increased weight each set. I plan on bumping it more aggressively next week. Those 90/90 wrist rotations... those are just torture. I only used 10# DBs, but my entire arm was on fire from those.

Wanted to share my program/diet and seek advice on any diet changes. Over the past few months I've run Arm Farm, Pool Season 2, oak tree. I'm about to start Big Back Billy and after that maybe christmas bench or benchamin franklin.
I'm training for a half marathon in January so my Big Back Billy routine will be lifting 4 days a week, running 2 days a week with one of those being my long run (between 9-12 miles).
My current diet is roughly as follows:
6 am: 2 cups of coffee w/ creamer
8 am: 50g protein shake, 10g creatine, vitamins
10 am: Workout
Noon: Lunch salad w/ 50g protein chicken
3 pm: 50g protein shake
6 pm: Dinner, 30-40 g protein (beef/chicken/fish), veggies, some carb
9 pm: Bed
I usually have a little bit of sugar after each meal, a little candy or something, but a few bites, nothing out of control. All I drink besides coffee and protein shakes is water.
On weekends I'm not as strict on the times/meals (throw in a burger or sushi somewhere) but I'm trying to keep my protein up. On the weekends I'll have like 4-5 eggs for breakfast and sometimes skip that AM protein shake.
I'm 5'11" 193# and 40 yrs old. I've still got a little spare tire I'm trying to get rid of and not sure what I should do diet wise except be more strict on the weekends? Any diet changes worth considering or anything I could add to drop this last bit of fat around my waist? I'm happy to provide more info if it helps. Thanks guys, y'all have helped get me back into the best shape of my life.

Cut the sugar out and be stricter on weekends to start. Do that for like 6 weeks and see where you are after that.

How are you dressing the salad? They can be sneaky high in calories.

I may be an odd one, but I eat my salads with no dressing. I think it's gross to start dumping ranch dressing (I think ranch is disgusting on anything) all over and ruining a salad.
Most folks pour it directly on the salad and use too much. To counter that, put the salad in bowl with a lid and add 1 tsp of dressing. Put the lid on and shake the salad up and down and side to side. That 1 tsp goes further than most people realize.

I think we are going to run Silverback this month and keep the strength focused programming rolling
