On the RFESS for tomorrow are you doing 5 each leg for the superset or one leg than the other next time around?
Posted on 8/17/22 at 9:48 pm to OysterPoBoy
I did it tonight. Did 5 each leg. Just switched hands every set as I did 1 heavier dumbbell instead of 2.
That superset got me. I owe the cardio section come Friday. I was drowning in sweat

Which program has the best deadlift focus? Also, I did the kettle bell mile thing on the treadmill last night. I started with a 40lb dumbbell, swapping every minute. That’s the most I’ve ever sweat just walking. Mingo would be proud to hear that I would’ve still had the energy to play a round of golf

deadcember
so outside of deadcember that he has on the site
strongville- 6-8 sets twice weekly
silverback-5 sets 2x weekly plus rdl another day
mass that last- some variation 2x weekly
meat wagon- 2x deads, 2x rdl
the mullet & the mullet 2- some variation 4x weekly
house of the rising buns- 2x, 2x rdl
lets get peachy- 2x, 2x rdl
Periodic table of thickness-2x
if i had to pick in terms of volume and intensity it would be strongville and mullet 1 & 2.
the deadcember ones are older but still relevant too.
yea its a lot harder than it sounds. i believe Rx with that is with a 53 lbs bell.

Another question. For sumo deadlift do you use the same max as regular? I just did them for the first time last week to prep for this program and I think I’d be ok using the same.

I’m sort of excited to do some sumo again. I’ve got an actual sumo deadlift bar
It’s only knurled in the middle, and it’s the most aggressive knurling I’ve ever held. Makes my Ohio power bar feel like nothing.

Trying to decide on a program. 5 days a week. Which plan in your opinion would or has resulted in a better overall visual? I am guessing shoulder/trap/arm dominate.
Or would you consider another program for that?
19 months, been doing 6 days a week, on TRT. Strengthwise I am happy where I am and I don't care about being the strongest person in the room anyway. Just looking for the best overall look.

if you want 5 days a week i would choose between
filling out the hoodie 2
brickhouse remastered
elbow meat
i know brickhouse is look at as a lowerbody program but really only the 1st exercise most days is lower body. some days has 2 but overall it has a ton of upper body lifts in the thick like a brick and storm proof sections
if i had to choose a 5 day, would be that.
now if you wanted to open it up to all of the programs, i would go with the day programs in the following order
pool season 1
pool season 2
stacked, jacked and turning heads
all i want for christmas is a big bench
filling out the hoodie 1
filling out the hoodie 2
periodic table of thickness
Benchaholic
arm farm
elbow meat
hypertrophy
Brickhouse
strongville
run in that order for next 12 months. Thats just my opinion based off looking at those and which programs have the most overall upperbody volume, trying to balance 4 & 5 day programs so recoery doesnt become a problem.

I just finished brickhouse a few minutes ago. That last day of bench was spicy. Ending with 3 reps of 88% wasn’t easy.

Will do Day 4 week 3 of Arm farm this evening. It's a good program. Essentially the same workout each day 1,2,3, 4 each week but with reps and sets intensified as the program moves up. Every exercise has a superset associated with it. Two main lifts with a SS then 3 supplemental lifts all SS together
Really hits shoulders hard. Obviously a good focus on arms also.
I should have done measurements prior to starting. Was going to do something different for September but I am just going to re-run this program and then do squattober.
These are just great programs. No other way to say it. If you use realistic maxes for your percentages then you have no option but to get bigger and stronger.

Cardio section had me sweating bullets today in the AC. I don’t know how you guys are doing this in your garage.
PS: Mingo, I had enough in the tank to run a 5k after if I wanted to.

I did 5 rounds of 30 cal row, 24 kb swings, 18 air squats, and 12 box jump overs in a warehouse in Texas on Wednesday. After a full lifting session. Don't be soft
