I ran into that exact workout today too. Put a hoodie on to try and protect the arms, but they are still scuffed up. Topped out at 175x5; I feel like they hit my quads similar to front squats but it’s easier to stay upright and work my core.

I'm doing the prequel to get ready for squatober and have hit front squats, zercher squats, back squarts and bulgarian split squats (bb) this week. Trying to get more comfortable with correct form for the front, zerchers and bss. Def hammering those quads.

Started Hyper-Trophy this week after taking 12 days off for a Yellowstone vacation. Definitely has some unique super sets. Typing this in the middle of a front squat-BB row SS. Excited for it tho heard it’s one of the tougher ones

What’s everyone doing before Squatober? Running Prequel until the weekend before Squatober, or taking a break in between? I’ll get to day 18 of Prequel this week, debating if I should either double up to finish it up before squatober since there are some heavy singles in there or get a break before switching to 5 day a week lifting. Thoughts?

Started Pump City today. I’ve been worse than inconsistent the last couple months going to the gym. I’ve had PC for a while now and liked the few workouts I did of it. Plus I like a PPL split so it’ll be easier getting back in the gym just aiming for 3 days per week. Posting here for some accountability.

I'm running prequel too. I'm on schedule to hit day 20 if I workout each weekday up to 9/30. I will likely hit day 18 or 19 as I will not workout 9/30 in prep for starting 10/1. I wouldn't double up but I'm also in my 40s. I lift at 5:30am ish most days and do some other strenuous activities on most weeknights on days I lift. No way I'm doubling up but I do plan on running Prequel everyday this week and Monday, Tuesday next week.

Just finished FOTH week3 day 1 and my triceps are about to explode.

50 reps bench
40 reps dips
40 reps skulls
125 reps pushdowns

I did FOTH earlier this year and had similar sensations. High reps - you gotta want to finish those sets out. Near the end of the sets for pushdowns - you could have 5lbs loaded, or even weightless and just the motion engaging your muscle, and they will not be fun. I want to run it back - may try to run it in November between Squatober and Deadcember.

Bailed on this halfway through. Not a fan. Its tough to super set squats and weighted chins in my gym logistically plus i felt like i was losing the gains i got from the pool seasons.

Going back to running PS1 and 2 back to back i just love the the layout of these and the gains it provides. My shoulders and back blow up.

Heavier focus on compound movements, much less accessory work volume than PPSA programs. Good switch up for a bit if you been running these for years IMO

The pro and con of having so many great PPSA programs purchased is wanting to bail a week or two into any program I'm not obsessed with and going back to the staples lol i've never run hypertrophy before but PS1 & 2 agreed could run those back to back forever and be fine!
