Will do. Not ready to hit the dating world anytime soon so that gives me plenty of time to get in the best shape possible.

Are these classes live with the trainers or just pre-recorded?

You can do them live if you want.

Or do them on demand

Peloton- Worth It!

Got one 10 months ago and I've used it 10 times. It is pretty cool though.

Might go ride it today.

Not even a subtle brag....

The 13 y.o. had his first day of high school football workouts yesterday (they take them from the middle schools in the area to start working out with their future teammates)

My wife said she hadn’t seem him this excited after any sports practice...ever. Why??

“Mom, I’m the fastest O line guy now and can even halfway hang with some of the skilled position kids”

I believe this (maybe want to believe- so please comment)- conditioning is the hardest thing to coach because it’s a PITA. By providing him with a tool to keep his condition in top shape, he will be more easily coachable in the areas that count.

get him lifting too if you can. Atleast pushups, pullups and pistol squats.

I don’t disagree that a peloton seems expensive, but Spin classes aren’t cheap, so if you’re riding 3x a week it’s probably a wash vs going to a dedicated class. And for someone that really enjoys riding, or has a whole family that uses it, peloton makes even more sense.

I know some people treat home gym equipment, especially cardio stuff, as a clothes hanger. But for someone that’s actually motivated to work out at home, peloton becomes even a better proposition if it gets you working out more.

Also- PRO TIP- you don’t need cycling shoes. We got some toe clip adapters off of Amazon for about 40 bucks and we’re all pounding it out in running shoes just fine.

have you tried it in cycling shoes and clip-in pedals? it's cool that you guys have found a solution that works, but cleats and clip-in pedals are worth a try.

once you get used to them you can generate much more power or watts than with toe clips. your foot almost becomes part of the pedal or crank arm.

We got the original bike just before Christmas.

My wife and i were paying $280 a month combined for unlimited at Orange Theory. We cut it back to 8 times a month shaved $80s off a month there and our Peloton with the membership runs us about $100 a month. So pretty much broke even.

I love it. Awesome workout. has me dripping sweat and i have some buddies that have it and we talk shite to each other and try to out do each other.

Plus with the family part. I have a three year old and a 5.5. year old. I will put on a meditation or basic stretch class and have them sit with me and calm them before bedtime.

My only issue with mine so far is that my shoes/pedals squeak horribly when im "out of the saddle"

With the live classes, it’s like having a trainer come to your house.

They're having a free 2 month trial ... figure that's worth trying but glad to know someone has enjoyed the classes.

How good does your internet need to be for a peloton? I live in the sticks and our internet is not great but we usually don’t have any issues streaming Netflix or anything like that.

I’ve had mine a year now. I ride, lift, stretch, meditate, do yoga. Pretty much my entire fitness routine is now through peloton. If you buy dumbbells you can easily have a great strength plan on there. The core stuff is brutally hard also. I love it.

I just ordered a Schwinn IC4 and am getting the peloton app. $13 a month for the app. And the bike was “only” 1k shipped.
