Cold this morning. My beard was covered in ice and I love it.

BTW LVT, checking in to let you know I’m not your downvote even though I gave the 1500 a terrible review on the shoe thread.

I've logged over 400 miles in 2 months a week.

Going to be interesting with the cold weather coming

Ha, I saw that. Thought of you when I saw he bought those. Chuckled at the downvote, but didn’t think it was you.

Pretty chilly here today, although probably not as much as up there. 38 feels like.

This is my bridge this am. 10 miler across and back. Not used to all that elevation, lmao!

Yesterday's run was 1 miles warm up,5 x .25, 1 mile easy, 5 x .25, walk back to house.

Wife is working all weekend so my easy recovery run today will be pushing a stroller for 5 miles. Going to go after lunch when it's not so cold. Moved my 15 or 16 mile run to Monday. Took a day of vacation, but it looks like pretty nasty weather.

Finished my first half marathon. Temp is 47°. And sunny with a light breeze. I obliterated my goal of 1:50.

That's awesome! Good even splits too. That's how you want to do it.

Pair of 1500v4 and some Fresh Foam Cruz (I liked the look of these to just use as everyday shoes).

I like the cruz and Arashis as everyday shoes. I will get them as my next casual shoes.

I keep waiting for these to wear out but unlike every other pair of Nikes I’ve owned, they’ve held up for 2 years.

On the running front, good job McVick and good luck this weekend to the LV runners.

Did a 6 mile trail run today at 39 degrees. We got adventurous and went exploring. Found some caves and waterfalls off the beaten path.

Ok I just committed to running my first half in February in New Orleans. I enjoyed a 5k a few weekends ago and my company does fundraising events and blasted the run out. As someone who isn’t passionate about running this will be interesting. Goal #1 is to make it to race day, #2 is to finish, and #3 is 2 hours.

Finished up around 01:26:00. Forgot to stop my watch, which sucks. Planned on negative splitting the second half but the wind and bridge climb were brutal on the way back.

Almost a top 20.... out of 140! Hahahahaha

Awesome and best of luck to you. Lot of guys in here are pretty passionate but mean well. Everyone in here wants to help and support each other and we'll send the positive vibes your way.

Thank you! I found a 10 week plan online that utilizes tempo days long days and sprints. I just hate running in chill weather and would rather sweat it out. But excited to give it a shot

Thanks everyone for the kind words. It was a long yet fruitful 14 weeks leading up to the race, and now there's talk of an eventual marathon attempt in the future.

If anyone is thinking about traveling for a marathon keep the Richmond one in mind. There's incredible course support and the route isn't super hilly. I think the winner completes in under 2:20.

Ran a slow, arduous 16 mile in this morning. I'm a total warm weather runner, often choosing to not even run through past winters. 37 degrees starting temperature had me contemplating getting in the car and heading home. Saw more deer than people on the Trace today.

Did 16 yesterday too...foot is paying for it today. Rest day and hopefully it feels better tomorrow after some love from the lacrosse ball.

7 does and a 6 point for me. I love running in this weather. Unless theres ice, then it sucks. But that's very rare around me
