There is a group of 4% enthusiast on Facebook you can check out. Occasionally, although not very often, does someone post a pair for a discounted amount. In most of these cases, they are slightly worn. I swear some of those guys would jerk off inside their shoes if it didn't mean leaving a stain.

Slow, muddy and fabulous 6 miler this morning; through fog so heavy with moisture that dew dripped from my lashes and ran like tears down my face, and I was drenched by the end. Ran on the levee and City Park cross country course. Bring on the cold! I am ready for a long run in 50 degree weather.

I think I'm going to start doing this more after this weekend. I did some trails in October and find I like them alot more.

Can you describe what Cross training is?

Could be anything other than running: cycling, swimming, elliptical, rowing, etc.

Unless you're a cyclist, in which case cross training would be running.

If you're a cyclist, you would probably cross-dress, not cross-train.

I smell what you’re stepping in but they are asking a running thread, so by default, the answer was run focused.

For me it always depended ony schedule. Sometimes it was a 45-60 minute vinyasa yoga session. Many times it was a gym session starting with a one mile warmup lap, then weights, then a 15-20 minutes on the rowing machine. A couple of times I took it as an extra rest day. Basically anything other than extended running.

That Mighty Unplugged deal I bought is cool in that it’s very small and I don’t have to carry my phone. Bad news is that my Airpods don’t stay connected so I have to use corded earbuds. Emailed them to see if they can help with the Airpod issue. I saw where they are set up at the Expo also.

Shaping up to be pretty chilly/windy tomorrow for the 10 miler I’m planning on doing. Route is pretty meh also as it’s 5 miles up and down the Manchac bridge and 5 miles up and down back. Not registered yet (was gonna register onsite tomorrow), so not 100% sold on it, but 99!

hb - do you run with music in races typically?

I feel like I have to (mental). I feel like I get winded quicker if I can hear my breathing/footsteps. Weird.

I stopped by the mighty booth, they seemed pretty cool!

I have been training with headphones, but my last race was my first with them. Not sure what I want to do on Sunday. My last race was great so tempted to run with them again

Yeah, that and the guy asking the question specifically stated he was training to RUN a 10K/Half.

I ended up buying two pairs of New Balances from that booth that had them all for $45. Figured why not. Won't be around tomorrow, so enjoy watching the game in town tomorrow if you are and Good Luck Sunday.

If you see a guy with Geaux Tigers on his bib or taking a picture after with a LSU flag after finishing, that is me. Gotta represent haha. But feel free to say hello.

Pair of 1500v4 and some Fresh Foam Cruz (I liked the look of these to just use as everyday shoes).
