Weather for me, I can tell stuff is moving in based on sinuses. Monday I felt fantastic running, better air. Today sluggish.

everything has felt hard lately. Not sure if I’m tired or it’s the weather dragging me down

Same. I think that false fall tricked my body and now it's in shock trying to run in 80+ temps lol

I went from being okay with 7:30/mile over at least 5 miles to struggling at 8:00/mile with this added humidity over the week. I also think Baby BTB gave me some type of illness and it has been an absolute struggle to get through the week.

I was totally soaked last night after an easy 4. Like someone else said-maybe False Fall played tricks on us.

Set a 10k PR over the weekend despite the crappy weather on Saturday. 37:18.7 chip time. Now focused on marathon training block for Houston in January.

Congrats on earning your first 100 mile buckle with an excellent time, and you thought sub 24 was out of the question after that 50 milers. so when is the next one?

Walter

Congrats on the new PR. I know you've been working really hard to get where you're at. One day the weather is going be on point and sub 37 will go down. There's a thanksgiving day 10k here. guarantee it won't be hot!

Walter white said according to his watch, the course ran long that race and he only paid for a 10k so wasn't running a step further

I was ready to hang em up if I had a repeat of that

Like KS said, Strava still recognizes CCC 10k as my PR. I will never accept that as a PR!

Perhaps next time I’ll get good weather and can erase the fictitious 10k PR that Strava recognizes lol

Funny cause of course until today I was like "never again" but I think I need medical attention cause the little guy in the back of my head is already like "which course do you want to sub-24 next?!"

and you thought sub 24 was out of the question after that 50 miler

I did, I'm still kinda in shock how much buffer I had to sub-24 going into mile 80 (I could have gone 3mph and still done sub-24 at that point). I truly thought after the 50 that I had no chance, and then recovery, more training, and then taper came and appears to have done the trick. This time around I was questioning my taper pretty hard, like, I reallllly hated this taper because I thought it was going to hurt me more than help me.

Just goes to show, you gotta trust the taper

Strava says my 5k PR was the CCC last year at 18 minutes or so when I’ve never gone faster than 20:30 in my life. Hate that there isn’t a way to correct it without erasing the activity. Also doesn’t recognize my HM PR because it was .1 short.

Gonna attempt Happy's tonight after another night of awful sleep thanks to Baby BTB and a sweaty Monday night run. I am ready for 60 degree highs.

Anyone here have one of the Garmin watches that can perform a ECG? If so, can you tell me if it only checks when you ask it to or does it check randomly like the apple watch? I hate the apple watch I have and end up running with the garmin that I do have from years ago. I'd like to have just one watch and prefer garmin if I can get it to check for Afib.

5 miles @ 8:31

No fuel in the rest tank. Running on fumes from work, staying up too late last night watching what was billed as a boxing match, and waking up at 3:30am to hunt.

10 miles at 10:24pace
Long run of the week still trying to decide if I want to try to run a full marathon in January or a half.
If I can keep building on my long runs between hunting and weather then I may try to run the full.

10 on Saturday, felt great. Was going to get 4 or 5 this morning but nailed my head on the corner of my dresser at 5am, nice sliced eyebrow to start the day.
