Always feel the same about Nola streets…then I saw a post today on Instagram from Ben Johnson. He’s on a media trip visiting Kipchoge’s camp in Kenya. Holy shite. Those guys are running sub 2:18 marathon pace, in AlfaFly’s, on rutted out dirt roads.

Got a big 11 tomorrow morning and then it's time for the Rebs and Tigers to clash for the 109th time. Good luck to all my Tiger bros in this thread and here's to a good game. I'd also like to go ahead and congratulate Tyrion Davis-Price on breaking his own school record for rushing yards . . . again

I'm fortunate to run on good roads where I am. I ran in New Orleans once when I lived there and was dodging potholes and roots breaking up through the sidewalk the whole time.

Are there any races coming up in New Orleans? I haven’t run a legit road race in a while, and I would like to get a race in, ideally a 5k.

Fall Corporate Classic 5k is November 13th. Can enter individually or as a team of 4. We have an office team, only three signed up right now. Likely not going to win anything, but I am very very ambitiously targeting a 19:59 5k.

Turkey Trot 8k is on for this year as well.

Rock 'n' Roll is in early February. Just started my 16-week training plan on Sunday. This will be my first full after five half marathons. Tentative goal is to break 4:00.

Hope so. I have a 47m 10k, feel like I can get that sub 20 5k. It’ll be close. Don’t have time to seriously train, but started adding some speed work and hoping my twice a week soccer conditioning can help too.

Man I love this flat land y’all have around the coast. Makes running WAY easier.

10.5 miles today at an 8:30 pace. Average HR 166. Felt great and toured downtown Savannah.

Got my slow 11 in at a 9:56 pace. It was tough! Had a gel at mile 7 for the first time. Not bad but messy and sticky.

Second race in two weeks is not complete. 10 miler with 650 feet of elevation gain. Goal was sub-80 minutes.

Official chip time is 1:19:59.

Good mile sprint intervals this manana. The goal pace was 7:40 but I clocked in at 7:24, 7:22, and 7:23. Good start to the week!
