Does anybody regularly work mile repeats into their workouts? I am training generally for the 5k and have been doing mile repeats for about a month. My progression so far has been the following(3x1mile 4 min recovery), (3x1 mile 3 min recovery), (4x1 mile 3 min recovery).
My other workout of the week is a tempo run. Where do I take my mile repeats from here? Just add another one?

Kball and HogB
Good work sticking with it and battling to the finish.
I wussed out on running Boston. Just didn't see a positive for running it. Risk further setback with knee and or mental setback of finishing with disappointing time or straight up DNF because I wasn't trained.
weather isn't great but 60 and overcast shouldn't be bad for the runners. GF is running but hasn't started as of 9:29

10x400m @5:20/mi w/90 sec recovery this morning. Came away feeling like it was my best workout in a while. Great way to start the week

Dude is pumping up the crowd as he runs

Yeah, CJ isn't looking too good now. I'm pretty sure running a smart race wasn't the strategy. Home town guy on his bithday? He's donkin. Out there straight donkin it.

He went full send. Love it. He's definitely losing pace and the rest of the pack is catching up.

Dammit I knew he started out too fast. Losing ground quick

I like the white dude that moved to Kenya and married a Kenyan woman. That's commitment!

Mission accomplished. He's all they've been talking about for 20 miles. The amount of exposure this gives him will be big for "his brand". Good for him.

It's amazing watching all the regular joes finish up. Half of them look like they couldn't lift a 10 pound weight or throw a football 20 yards and some of them look pretty overweight and they're all running sub 3 hour marathons right now

Just saw an LSU singlet finishing up
