Solid tempo, bruh. Might have saw ya out there today. Also, super gross again this morning but not as bad as yesterday.

We need to create a run thread for the psychos and one for the normal people.

I can post my splits from a recent trail run to help balance things out.

Same here. 3 Miles this morning with just over 11 min pace.
Humidity was nasty.

Brutal this morning in BR. The first half mile felt great then I was running in a sauna the rest of the way.

Did squats and lunges at lunch only to run my 4-5 mile hill route this evening. I'll statistically bring the average WAY down this evening.

On today's run, I ran by a house where the dogs aren't fenced in and they always bark and run at me. They never leave the yard, I guess they have shock collars. So I've learned to live with it.
As I ran by today, poor FedEx driver got out of her car in their driveway and froze as the dogs barked and ran full speed up to her. She was scared shitless. I felt really bad so I went on the property and got the dogs to bark and threaten me while she made her drop.

I'm used to the dogs whose houses I normally run or bike by. I still keep my head on a swivel though. I've had to nearly kick a mutt or two before. A buddy of mine's dad was biking by a rednecky house a few years ago only to have a pitbull charge at him and cause a wreck. Fortunately, he wasn't injured. He called the sheriff's office though and I think the dogs were adequately chained up after that.

I almost kicked one last month. Old lady opened her door and this thing took off after me. She was hollering at it the whole time. I kind of made a move like I was about to lunge at it and it finally backed off. Scared me for a bit though.

i live kinda on the edge of town and can run in the country if i'm feeling adventurous. there's one farm house out there that has a dozen dogs. they normally just bark as i go by and i've always assumed there was an invisible fence, but one time one of the big ones came after me really hard. i love dogs and am usually really good with them, but this one wasn't having it so i hauled arse hard and averaged a 4:00 mile for a bit.
don't think i've touched those times since HS.

I had a golden run at me and bark last night. Scared the shite out of me because I couldn't see him until I was just feet away from him (hedge was in the way).
Only real issues I've had with dogs has been people walking them on leashes. Last weekend a lady with a dog was walking passed as I ran. The dog wanted to come see me and I damn near killed myself avoiding the leash. That's happened a couple of times.

I've got a 7 miler at a slow pace tomorrow and then a four-miler at marathon pace around the Grove on Saturday
I'm thinking about switching the runs, but I probably won't. Less running on Saturday and more Grovin'.

You guys aren’t lying. Ran my usual neighborhood 5k loop. 7:46 pace with a 170 avg/195max HR. Yikes.
Posted on 9/16/21 at 6:49 pm to jkylejohnson
Here to drag the average down…..
5 miles at a 9:40 pace with an average HR of 161. 500’ of climb again. Mixed a couple of 1/4 mile fartleks in and hit 180 HR twice. Felt WAY better tonight than last night. About to pound Singing River IPAs like it’s my fricking job.

I ran 5 in Brownsville, TX tonight. Started off ok but then the humidity beat me down after 2.5 miles. A whopping 9 feet of elevation over 5 miles. I would get more elevation running around the park track behind my house in 2 laps.

I’ve tried to get you frickers to Bham to run some hills. I’ll throw the gauntlet down again this Spring.

I live in central Texas. It’s virtually impossible for me to have a run without hills or a decent amount of elevation. Not saying it’s Colorado or anything but I’m literally at the foot of the hill country.
I’m just here in SoTX for work.
