7 miles, 9:54/mi, 154 HR, 26 ft elevation gain this morning

I have never been this sweaty in my entire life. My shorts felt like a bathing suit. Please Lawd, turn off the heater!

Going back to weight training for a while to allow the hip to heal. I’m pretty sure I tore a gluteus medius or piriformis a few months ago. I’ll be back l eventually. Happy running, dudes.

11 miles this AM with the run group. 9:40 pace with a 165 average HR. Started raining at mile 5. Started pouring at mile 9. The normally attractive ladies were especially attractive after the downpour.

It’s a gully washer in Oxford. I didn’t go.

Take the under in the Rebs/Wave game.

Did a 14 mile run today as part of my marathon training.

Physically I did fine, but my biggest worry about the marathon popped up today. I just became really bored. I love running, but I need to find a way to keep in it mentally at the longer distances.

I like to listen to a book sometimes. Especially if you can find a good one about running. Helps me zone out and not think about running.

5 miles this AM at a 9:20 pace and average HR of 158. Ran in the Xero Clouds again. I love them for about 3 miles, then they start getting uncomfortable. Just going to keep working them in once a week.

Hello Running Krewe.

Has anyone here run in Mobile? I will be there Saturday and wanted to see if anyone could recommend any routes.

Nope, but I use the RunGo app and it will have routes there. You could try FB and see if there is a run group there. I'm sure there is. There are a lot of RunGo routes for this: RunGo Route

you might look at strava heatmaps or segments close to where you are and see if there's anything with a lot of activity.

I travel a fair bit for work. I usually just pull up the map and look for a bunch of segments in explore in an area in the app and it usually leads me to decent spots.

Had a nice four-mile tempo run this morning.

1 - 10:14
2 - 8:02
3 - 7:56
4 - 9:41

I have five miles at marathon pace (9:09/mi) tomorrow followed by a 20-mile bike in what should be spectacular weather on Thursday morning

I'm spoiled running in my hometown. The roads are nice and there isn't much traffic. What little traffic there is gives you plenty of space too, generally.

I'm always a little gunshy running in a new town so I try and pick roads that don't appear to be too busy.
