I have "lap" pace displayed. Averages over the whole lap which I have set at 3 miles. The instantaneous pace fluctuates too much. I can be running 9 minute miles, then get under treese and it jumps to 11 min even though I'm running the same pace. Then when you come out the trees, it jumps to 8 min when it gets better satellite reception, but it has to assume you sped up to cover the extra ground (it assumes you've been running 11 minute miles, but you're obviously further down the road). Over the whole run it's quite accurate. Just not over a 30 second period of time.

I'm disappointed I wasn't able to take advantage of cooler weather yesterday and get a long run in. I hit the gym this morning and did some crazy leg work instead.

That’s good to know. I’ll have to set it up for laps.

Is the calorie counter accurate? I always assumed 100 calories/mile but the watch said ~300 for a four mile run.

Only managed to get in a very slow 10k this AM. Had hoped for 15k, but my Saturday run in the heat took too much out of me. Should have spent my Sunday eating better and hydrating instead of snacking all day and drinking beer.

Finished with 46 miles total last week.

When I get up from sitting for an hour or more, my hips and knees do the snap crackle and pop (not painful). Actually feels good

Tried to do a balls out 5k tonight. Boss called and screwed me.

2.6 miles at 7:07 pace. The Kenyan marathoner smoked me by 2.5 minutes a mile.

Strava said it was my fastest mile at 6:58. That’s not entirely accurate but I’ll take it.

Had to stop for this during my morning jog. The lights are just starting to be strung and will be there until after Mardi Gras. Pretty awesome to run/ walk under as the weather is about to cool down. This is Fairhope, AL for those who might not know

Any of you guys want to join me for a 10-13 miler this weekend on the NS? My running partner is resting due to an injury. I have been running these at a 9:00/mi pace, but I can keep up with someone running 8:30/mi or so. Just might not be good with the conversation at that speed.

5 this am, felt more sauna like than yesterday. Goal pace was 9:10, finished @ 9:07. Hit some Yoga after and have a 60 min massage scheduled at 12:45. I'm due.

Man, wish I was a little closer. The Northshore is abt an hour and a half from me. Planning to hit 10 Sat am, but will be in a bit of a time crunch. Also my long runs have been a little bit slower than 9:00.

Speaking of Strava, how many of you use/follow each other on strava?

Are you on the SS? If so, lets plan on running together one of these weekends. I'm sure we can find some place between us to put in the miles. Most of my long runs are about the mileage, not the pace.

Didn't someone start a TD group? If so, how do I find it?

I'm still sidelined w foot. Pretty sure it's achilles tendinitis. Tried to run again Sunday and stopped after a few steps. Went on 5 mile dog walk instead and then it really hurt.

Doing all the self-help PT things, cross training and strengthening. May do some real PT. Bummer but it is still freaking hot and humid and I'm stuck here right now so I'll deal.

Good excuse to get swolt (jk)
