Yo Roots

I'm sure you know but don't take running fitness for granite. the walking and climbing is great but its not running and then trying to get back rolling during summer usually doesn't turn out well. try to keep getting runs in. Seen too many friends get burnt by thinking their running fitness will just hang around because they were still active.

Oh for sure. One of the main reasons I expedited getting the treadmill. No "time crunch" excuses for not getting a few runs in a week at least.

Not looking forward to my run tomorrow morning. Weather shows 43 and Rainy with thunderstorms.

Fartleks and 1 mile at GHMP with WU and CD. Will probably hit ~7 miles.

Yay

I’m gonna get a long run in Sunday morning in BR but it looks pretty good weather wise. Mid to upper 30s. I’ll take that, only my hands will freeze.

Not too bad in NOLA this morning:40 degrees. Got in 10 miles. Could have done without the stiff headwind last four miles though. Will probably run a few times early this week. Only Monday looks really nasty.

Between my bad reaction to my second covid shot and the absolutely ridiculous weather we have had in Kansas the last week, I have gotten 0 running in. It was -11 this morning and has been snowing all day, and after midnight tonight, we are looking at -25 to -35 windchills.

I won't be able to run again until Wednesday. I will basically be starting from scratch again Wednesday or Thursday.

Just did 5k. My “Johnson” I’m fairly sure literally froze as I was reminded of the feeling of post-Reggies lasses

I hate running this time of year.

A month from now we'll be sweating, running with no shirts, etc. Can't wait.

I applaud anyone running in these conditions. I took advantage of the weather and squatted heavy for the first time in two years. I'll get back to running in a few days.

Cold doesn't bother me, but the thought of running on icy roads does. Hit the treadmill for 5 miles yesterday. Last time I do that shite. Hated it. I'll either run outside or not at all.

I run regularly in snow and single digit temps, but -17 with -30 windchill is an entirely different beast. I've lost a ton of fitness lately, but oh well. I still have all of my fingers and toes.

Any of y’all dealt with a bruised heel before? Think it developed from playing soccer. Going on 2 weeks now and it’s still nagging me. Don’t think it’s plantars because it’s not a sharp pain, just dull and always sort of there.
