Those things are beautiful.

Own a pair, baw. RS and HB have seen em in person.

My wife bought me a pair for Christmas, but they were 1.5”. Just cannot go that short, 3” is my jam!

I can confirm those shorts & people wearing them can really help when you are dead in the water at mile 22 in a marathon !

You’re just not fast enough... yet. Give it time, or send em over I’ll represent.

If your wife is buying you 1.5" shorts she must like what she sees.
My wife tries to hide my 5" shorts.

My wife gives me shite when I break out the 3" shorts and no shirt in the middle of the day.
Me: "Going for a run, be back in an hour."
Wife: "Call me if you get arrested for indecent exposure."
For reference, we live next door to a high school and I'm the Strava local legend by a long shot.

Another 3 miles indoors in 24:53 (8:18/mi).
Four miles planned for Saturday . . . outdoors

What are yalls opinions on runners who run on busy high speed limit streets? Do these people have a death wish?
More than 50% of my miles are logged on such roads and highways. You small ball runners wouldn't understand.

I have a half mile stretch out of my neighborhood that is pretty gnarly traffic wise. Just gotta keep your head on a swivel and throw up the middle finger salute to the occasional a-hole driver.

Yeah, but how many of those miles are running? Driving don’t count, baw. Getting 1999 to flip you off while on your commute ain’t a sport, even though it should be.

No doubt. It's one reason why I can't run with headphones. To pass the time I sometimes play a game where I guess the vehicle type based on the sound of it barreling toward me at 70 mph.
Not sure about where you guys run, but around me the least considerate drivers drive worktrucks then Jeeps. All others are a distant third.

Burt, treadmills don't cause discomfort in your hips? The cheaper, low-end variety leave me walking like a peg-legged pirate the next day.

my favorite is drivers on the opposite side of the road blaring the horn. i assume they think it's funny? again, i give them the salute.

I’ll tell ya if they ever deliver the fricking thing. Not that I can do much anyway, my legs are destroyed even after a week off. I can’t even muster 8:00 pace. I think I need to see a doctor. The soreness and fatigue along with some other symptoms like waking up with a headache, irritability, frequent urination, night sweats, and motor function issues seem to be persisting and I’ve had some combination of these issues for about a month.

Lets race.
Preferably before you diagnose your ailments.

First time back running at full strength. I had to rest a little bit in dec. Weird but felt like a little sciatic pain. I've been doing easy runs but today was a decent 6.5 mile run.
Now I feel a little better about this 5x5k I'm about to do.

Sounds like Overtraining Syndrome, Burt.

Over-training.
I took 5 weeks off here with hip/sciatic (I'm guessing) from hard work. I did a ton of swimming though. Today was my first hard run and it feels like I haven't really skipped a beat.
shut it down and cross train with something else. Those are some serious symptoms to the point maybe seeing a Dr.
