I live and run in a very normal neighborhood...when this first started a very attractive woman slowed down her SUV to tell me something while I was running alone....
I kind of hoped she was going to compliment my new shorter running shorts but she 100% cussed me out and accused me of trying to kill her family...all I could do was ignore her and laugh later.

Quail,
To give her credit, she got an "A+" for fury, vile language, and delivery.
In all seriousness, if I see a family or older couple and there are no cars coming I'll jump off the sidewalk and give them space but I even did that before covid as a courtesy.

We run early on Sat and mostly neighborhoods. When we typically encounter other pedestrian traffic, we give a wide berth. This lady didn’t give me a choice. Then bitched when I ran by her in the only avenue she gave me.

Had a guy do that to me and another runner recently. Absolutely lost his mind.

LOL, just read where Garmin is being asked to pay a $10MM ransom to end the outage.

I had a lady do that to me during the lockdown.
I literally jumped off the path and everything, meaning I was easily 6ft away, and she still shrieked at me for being too close.
People are crazy.

I slogged out 9 miles this morning. Tomorrow I hope to do 10+. At this point I'm running so I can listen to podcasts.
I've thought about the spacing issue when I encounter other people. I give a lot of room when I can, but there have been times it hasn't been possible to provide 6 feet of space. The comforting thing around here is that I haven't seen anyone running or biking with a mask on so I don't feel bad about my decision to run without one.

My un-synced activities are starting to pile up. Hope they figure it out soon. They'll probably end up paying.

I run shirtless but carry the shirt. If I see someone walking on the path wearing a mask, I'll cover my face as I pass them. I will never wear a mask while running. That is crazy.

Planned for twelve miles this morning, completed twelve miles at an easy 9:10 pace. This marks the first 30 mile week for me in July. I'm still in good shape to hit 1k for the year but I think it will happen in November instead of October.
Now it's shower time before a round of disc golf.

Ran my first ever run in shorts with a liner this morning.
Went decent, now I guess I can go shorter

I don't mind the liners in my shorts. Three out of the four pairs of my running shorts have liners built in (Patagonia with tighty-wighty style support). I didn't know how I would like it since I go Commando the rest of the time, but I haven't cut them out yet.

In Georgia for work this week. I had to run my 6 miles on the local track. Hate running in circles and the humidity here is somehow worse than it is in Alabama. Managed all 6 in 9:30.

The shorts get shorter the faster you get. Speaking of, I never understood these cats running in basketball shorts. I can wring about 2 pounds of sweat from my loincloth after a run. I can’t imagine having to deal with some below the knee soaked through nonsense while trying to putt along in 100 percent humidity.
I’ve not got any mask shaming on the trails/streets/sidewalks. If anything people force me off the path. I’m usually already giving everyone the stink eye as I pass though. If it starts to get stupid, or if we have outside mask mandates applied, I’ll just buy a treadmill and be done with it.

My app says it's still down for maintenance.
