Ran a 12K race this morning. Came in at 59:10. Probably about a top 25% finish.

It was an interesting race. The way it was built, the top half of the 12k race overlapped and ran with the back half of the 5k race for a portion. That was really...interesting.

Yeah. My 5K wasn’t mapped very well either. There were several instances where you had to double back and run into on coming runners. I hate doubling back and prefer a loop. My one OCD habit.

Gives me an idea of where I am with the rest of the field. So that's a plus.

My 5K was so small that it didn’t really matter.

Today was technically my first half marathon training run

Just knocked out a 4 miles in Central Park. Holy shite it feels good

Been doing a lot of Intervals to get my pace to below 10 minutes. Still slow and it’s been a grind doing in the Texas heat. Was cruising at around 9:20 minute miles. I know that’s nothing for y’all but for my 200lbs arse it felt good

Can’t wait for fall weather down south.

Speaking of trails, I went out at 5:30 this morning and finished at 6:30. Passed my normal crew as they were headed out. Ran the whole thing in the dark.

They sent me this from the start of the run which I would have had to have missed by a few minutes.

Ran my first 5K race of the fall this morning. Came in at 20:24. Good enough for a PR and first in my age group. I haven’t seen overall final results but I’m guessing I was first of all runners not on a high school cross country team. Pleased with my performance and looking forward to cooler weather. Congrats to everyone else on your races today.

Got 6 this morning. Still fighting this knee/calf issue...seemed more in the calf this time though. I can’t figure it out. Always flares up by mile 3, but I also play soccer twice a week and it never flares up when playing soccer. Got a PT consult scheduled, but not for another week and a half.

That’s a coral baw. Red and Black is a friend of Jack. Red and Yellow will kill a fellow.

frick. You’re right. Wow! I’ve never seen one in person. Pretty rare snake around here. I also didn’t know it ate other snakes. I know I wouldn’t have wanted to step in the middle of that!

Awesome work man!

Im going to try to get an easy 6 at 9-9:30 pace in the morning.

I will definitely be taking it easy, last nights run I had some pain flare up. Starting at knee, wrapping around quad and all the way up to my asscheek.

That's crazy. I would have assumed it was a king snake about to get a snack. That's really weird that they are sharing a space like that. Corals will eat other snakes, but that sized rattler seems like a difficult battle.

We’re experiencing some historic rain and thunderstorms today. So much paved and dirt trail washed out and nobody knows it yet. Some places were flat out impassable; millions of dollars in damage I’d imagine.

Still, got a hilly waterlogged three in. Was supposed to do three and a half but said eff that.

Well, hell. just saw the results AS, great job man!

As much as I hate to, I think I might take today off. Its really bothering me just walking around the house, wife is saying sciatic nerve.

I really need to get some better shoes. I have severe overpronation by the wear pattern on my work boots, and I just dont think these Launch 6 have the stability support.
