Easy 3 miles this morning. About a 10 minute pace. My legs were heavy from yesterday's run.

11 scheduled for Saturday morning.

today hillwork.

1.5 mile warmup

60" sec sprints up run back down30 sec rest x8

our 1.5 mile cool down turned into 5k pace for some crazy reason.

Pushed mowed my yard in 100 degree heat.

Feel like I ran 5 miles.

I’m counting it.

Instead of getting my 3 miles in this morning I played racquetball a couple hours

Running has taken over my life. Got an offer to play a gig tonight with some extremely talented musicians at a cool venue.

Turned it down because of my early wake up call for my long run.

Yeah I've gotten to the point where I need my fix of running each day. It's like my morning coffee, I just don't feel right without it.

Ran a local 5k this morning.
22:05/7:05 pace
Good for 33rd out of 300, but only 9th among 40-49 year olds...damned 40yo whippersnappers too fast for me.

Ran my weekly long run this morning and did 10.6 miles at a 10 minute pace. It was very humid this morning!

The humidity was unnecessary this morning. Like breathing air through an old wet wool blanket.

Managed to get 11 miles in. Not sure on pace nor do I care. Ran two 4 mile loops with a break after each to refuel and hydrate. Limped through my last three miles. Started running at 6:35am and finished at 8:40.

26 miles for the week!

I just can't stand this. That's why I'm heading to the gym to get my miles in on the treadmill or the indoor track.
Supposed to be lower humidity here some next week. Looking forward to this

I’ve beat this dead horse enough but it just pisses me off to no end. That being said, the only time I could run today was from 10-1, so of course it was brutal. Anyway, got my planned 4 in (“long” run for the week) Pace suffered a good bit due to aforementioned dewpoint/humidity. Glad it’s over.

My thought process is to grind out as much as I can in the 100+ feels like (not like I have a choice), and it will make the 80 degree and below days that much easier. Similar to training at altitude I suppose.

Yeah. I’ve been 4 days off due to being sick and travel. I’m getting antsy.

That being said I’ve enjoyed the lack of humidity.

Don't ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, evva forget the bug spray when running the spillway trail in the summer. Was attacked by so many flies it was horrible. Was gonna run 2 laps but they sucked the will out of me.

Don't even get me started on the very large spider webs produced by the lovely banana spiders.

I've learned to keep bug spray in the car and to wait until it's been daylight an hour before I hit trails so the mountain bikers can take care of the webs for me.

Did a little over 6 miles total today. up tempo 5K and then did race pace mile repeats for the return 5K with 2-3 minutes breaks between each mile. Mile 3 of the return was more like an up tempo 400m with some brisk jogging for the last 1200m Not fun in the rain.
