I looked her up in the results. Looks like she ran the half marathon (which ended at the same spot but started 13 miles closer)

Her splits were probably just showing as if she had run the full?

That's just me all over, expecting the worst out of everyone. It was the timing service's eff up the whole time. Once bitten twice shy I suppose.

BRM,

The race staff at a meaningless 10K in Houston yesterday had to catch a guy who "accidently" turned around about 1/2 mile early and was reported by another runner ..he acted so suprised although a hundred people in front of him kept going straight ....when I passed he was bitching and they were taking his bib.

So stupid and petty.

I had my first win stolen from me last year and I'm still bitter about it. Just being a sour puss.

Saw your race yesterday. Looks like you're really starting to put it together. It's a lot of fun seeing people PR and succeed.

Last run in Steamboat. Didn’t get to do the amount of trail running I had hoped for but this was pretty great to make up for on the last day. Went up about 3 before I lost the trail. I was following bear or mountain lion tracks up to that point.

BnG, which trails did y’all do while you were here?

Got in a 5 miler this morning. It was humid, but still managed a 6:58 pace. The shower did not take.

I haven’t really ran since my last 5k about 8 weeks ago.

I “ran” 5 miles this evening and well...it was not good.

Trying to jump back in like that when it’s 95 and 80% humidity was probably not the best idea.

Another 5k next weekend. I’m just hoping for sub 24 at this point.

First day running in a few weeks so I could let the shin splints heal. 3 miles & no pain before or after!

No joke. I'm still babying my post tib so everything is slow, but i felt like i was going to die running 7 at my dad's Sunday. It was brutal. I ran the "shadiest" street on Tybee but it was still well over 100 heat index.

Yesterday in Atlanta was pretty awesome. Got in 13, starting at 6am. My route is so quiet and pretty in the am. Saw a HUGE barred owl hunting wabbit. And about a dozen rabbits (probably thinned to 9 or 10 by now).

I was a little nervous about copperheads at the start when dark. I almost stepped on a couple "doing it" a few weeks ago. And just read about that dude dying from a bite in Tuscaloosa. Damn.

Anyway I'll be in BR Sunday - Thur next week so it'll be asscrack runs or bust (and maybe bust even then).

Then it's training haven in MT until Aug 4. I think I'm going to "sprint" Mt Jumbo (1400 up) every am and then do normal training routine in evening.

Next event is the Missoula Marathon June 30, ankle-willing (and it's a pretty flat, cool course). Then the Snowbowl 15k mtn trail run (great event) aug 3. Then almost two months to see if we're really doing this 100 miler. I ordered gear for it so have to. Haha.

Montana for the next 2 months, that’s the life.

I take it you have a place up there?

After 4 days in Colorado I’m sincerely considering finding a reason to move northwest.

Moved there 14 years ago. Had to come back south and go back and forth shortly thereafter. Been trying to make it home. It's hard to beat, even in winter if you like skiing and other winter activities. Or can escape from Christmas through Feb.

Roots... you and the wife have some dinner or chore bet going? She's working you on mileage this week. Maybe it's just a young training coach she connected with that's pushing her.

Nice job, Burtlandia. Wear those glow sticks with pride, Bro.

Going meet up with the Varsity BR crew this am in downtown BR for an 8 miler. Will be my first time running with a group and not really looking forward to it (I’m kind of a prude/loner when it comes to running), but it will break up the monotony I reckon.

Wear your shortest shorts so that they know you mean business and they will then make you their king.
