I have so many bad pics to choose from honestly

After finishing Vegas full in November

Close to end of Bentonville half last year in the teens

One that’s not so bad! LR half this year. The race photographer has some more good pics but I just can’t pay $20 for 1 pic or $40 for all of them.

So this is what a 19 min 5K looks like... I must have lost my dentures on the course.

I haven't posted in a hot minute, but just wanted to say that I hit a big milestone last night by running my first 10K non-stop. That's a distance PR for me.

This was my goal for the CCC when I decided to run it. Now i'll have a goal of an even faster pace.

Last night's was 10:30. I will try to improve to sub 10min for the race!

With a month left, I'm confident you'll be able to get there. It still amazes me how much time a person typically knocks off when running a particular distance a second and third time. I think it's because your brain switches from thinking about the distance, and instead focuses on the pace. Sub 60 minutes should be your goal, as long as you don't stop and enjoy the mimosas. Good luck to you.

Roots... did that 15 year old stop and snap that pic of you?

Shiiiiit, he was already being fed grapes and being fanned with palmettos by some of BR’s finest by the time I crossed.

Need to set bigger goals

I have a 5k this evening. Not sure my goal yet.

It’s at a festival and I’ll probably have a beer or 2 before the race.

Got some pretty good speed work in this morning. Close to back to 100% but not quite

Curious how this 20 miles may go on Sunday

Is this going to be the longest run you'll put in leading up to your race? Over the past couple months I have pulled the occasional run off of your schedule, adding a minute or more to the pace. Don't think I will be pulling a 20 miler this weekend.

Temperature starting to creep up here. I thought I was putting in an easy 4 miler at lunch, but saw afterwards I had an average heart rate in excess of 165.

Yep, got in 12 and it was a 2” inseam & sun tan lotion kinda day out there. Not terribly hot, thanks to the breeze but it’s comin’.

Best to run in those when all the neighborhood kids are at school, but all the housewives are home alone.

I know I'm going to come off sounding like a bitch, but I have the hardest time running with sunscreen. I feel like I'm baking from the inside out. If I put any on my face it runs in my eyes and mouth constantly. Skin cancer can only be so bad, right?

Yeah, I'm horrible about wearing sunscreen and have been my whole life but skin cancer runs in my family so I'm making an extra effort to begin applying this year. We'll see.

This is how I feel when I don't apply.

Went out for 5 today planning to sandwich a 5K in between a mile warmup and cool down. Could only hold my planned 5K pace for 2 miles. With the increased temperature and bump in mileage earlier in the week it May have been a little too ambitious of a pace. Hopefully I’ll be able to manage it in 2 weeks.

I never have and never will run with sunscreen.

With my travels I get to go to some cool areas, but I usually scout out a shaded path if it’s going to be an afternoon run. Otherwise I do summer runs in the morning.

I just go shirtless if I’m doing trails in the summer. It’s not as pretty as some of y’all but eff shirts in 90+ degrees. I just try and avoid people.

Nope. We had been thinking 22 or possible even 24 but I’m not sure how missing last week will effect that. Should be able to at least get a couple more 20s and a 22 in I’d think

Looks like we've acquired a UPS delivery driver to the Strava Group. Bangin' out 50 mile weeks at 15:00 pace, slanging them packages, ya heard!

Competition at the top of the weekly leader board mileage wise there, Burtemis.
