I’ll typically do a slower .5 mile jog in on my quicker workouts, usually followed up by foam rolling/stretching/lacrosse ballin’.

What do you guys do for a good warm down?
i do no such thing.
occasionally if i'm feeling it, i'll stretch in the shower.

I usually finish my runs about 2 blocks from the house, and will walk it in. Then I stretch for about 5 minutes.

Well at least y’all are making me feel better about my 10-15 min stretching/rolling sessions after most runs. I feel guilty if I don’t do them.
Just joined Summit on Strava. Any members wanna give me any details on perks they use?

I think Burt May have it, I was curious also
For my run in. Inside on the treadmill at 1.5%. Kinda miserable, no air flow made me sweat a ton. Built up some lactate in the calves for sure.
Ready to run outside Saturday and Sunday

You were going pretty fast for treadmill as well.

Always feel like I’m super loud and funny looking when running at quicker pace on a treadmill

Hate treadmill running man. It's like I get anxiety/claustrophobic on it and my gait is all fuct up.
You killed it as usual though. Good work Brah!

Can’t do it unless it’s 100 out and I need I mean NEED to get speedwork in.
The weather couldn’t be more perfect for me right now and yesterday’s run in the snow was sublime. I was meditating out there. No noise, no bullshite, just me and the snow.
Got an hour in this morning @ 18 degrees with no wind and nobody on the road. Great run.
Got 12-13 lined up for tomorrow.

Yeah, I don't stretch too well after runs, either. I know getting older, I'm older than 50, I need to stretch more, but I don't.
Frankly, I don't stretch too well before runs either.

I do legs up wall post runs and that’s about it.

Careful Burt, keep building up and you’re gonna have to do a full!

I'm just now getting back to the mileage I was in November 2018. I was topping out around 60 something towards the end of the year. This year we'll see the 70's. I hate running anything over 16 to be honest. My body doesn't like it. Remember, I have 8 years on you.
All that being said, like I alluded to at the beginning of the year, I'm doing the White River in November.
Hell, If I was still 30, I'd be running a marathon every month too.

I'm finishing up a productive week of running. Monday was at the gym, so a mile warmup on the track, then some weights, and finish with 20 minutes on the row machine. I'm going to try and incorporate more training with the row, as I read it can be a low-impact way to increase endurance.
Tues was 3 miles @8:45 pace.
Wed was 4 miles @10:25 pace.
Thurs was 3 miles @9:39 pace.
Today was 5 miles @8:40 pace.
Tomorrow's plan is to run an early 8 miles with a local group.
Numbers are falling on the scale, mainly due to calorie counting, but I'm still about 15 lbs heavier than this past summer.

Weather is perfect here too... 60 and Sunny! You can have the 18 and snowy. I love the snow when on vacation/snowboarding but I think living in it would get old to me.
Any comment on the Summit upgrade, Burt? Any features that you use most?
Good action today on Strava. I won’t be able to get out today, but got 9-10 planned tomorrow to round out my 30 for the week.
PHB - Is that 5K a PR?

I know quite a few people who have run and a few who have qualified for Boston at the WRM. All say good things about the race.

@ PHB Yeah, I know the guy that puts it on, it's designed to be a PR machine.
@ TR The Fitness/Freshness graphs are pretty cool. The effort monitor is also neat. I use the workout details on workouts so I can see why my splits may be slower or faster due to doing interval work on the road instead of the track. You also get access to generic but helpful plans for several distances.
Much of the information is apocryphal IMO and none of it works unless you use a heart rate monitor. (more accurate the better) For 53 bucks, it's at the very least a fun toy.
LOL @ whomever got their feelings hurt that I don't want to run a fricking marathon. Jesus.

Kinda my thoughts. Colorful graphs at least.
