Anything between 40-50 degrees I usually wear shorts, long sleeve shirt and leg compression sleeves. Once it drops below 40 I add tights, a heavier shirt and gloves. Has to be really cold for me to wear a knit cap. That said, I walked 3 miles (still being careful with my hip flexor) this morning in mid 40s with long sleeve shirt, tights, vest and baseball cap, and regretted not bringing gloves the entire time.

Did an hour of Jiu Jitsu tonight, but still needed to put in 3 miles..
I really enjoy night runs! Something to be said about hitting the road unde the stars.

Work really interfering with my running today. Gonna have to do speed work inside tonight which will be a bummer.

Curious. What does this look like? How many miles on which days?

How brutal are those Fri/Sat/Sun runs been? Your coach knows a frick load more than I will ever know about running, but I just find it peculiar how he sets that up with the speed work on Fri.

That’s usually my favorite stretch. My legs are fairly fresh on Friday from no run Thursday and easy run Wednesday.
Saturday is an easy day minus the few strides.
Long runs are my favorite, so usually no issues Sunday. Plus no work so I can go whenever i feel best. Think I could do 18-20 around 7:30 without too much trouble right now.

Last night was pretty cool. After the group run, local running store put on a limited release viewing of Billy Yang's new film about Dave Mackey. Afterward, we facetimed Yang and Mackey for a discussion and Q & A session about the film. Interesting stuff.

Good points. I haven't been doing any speed work, only stronger tempo runs. Might make it my Thur/Fri staple. You are absolutely killing it. Laying down one impressive run after another. I can tell your plan is improving you.

5 minute Warm up
Run for 3 minutes
Walk for 1:30

Walk 2:30

Walk 2:30
5 minute cool down
I haven’t mapped it yet but I’d imagine it’s around 2 miles when all said and done

What do you guys do for a good warm down?

PHB does another 5 miles at threshold pace. The rest of us generally do 1/2 mile jogs.

I’m guilty of at the most getting a good soak in. Normally I don’t do anything but shower and sit my lazy arse on the couch. I’d imagine that wouldn’t work for everyone though. Not sure it’s really working for me.

Yeah I've just found myself doing like a 0.25 mile walk, quick stretch of the legs/calves and then sitting tf down. haha

Same, I’ll slowly progress from my run/jog to a walk for 5 ish minutes

I am pretty good about a 1-2 mile cool down jog built into my speed workouts
Then a 15 minute or so stretch
