Man that is cheap AF pricing. Once I'm done my year with Maximus and I go out on my own, I'm 100% going to go that route to keep with labs every 2-3 months. Just better for my peace of mind to do them more frequently

Uggh, yeah, you go to a diagnostic lab location, some of these direct access lab companies work with both Quest and Labcorp, some work with only one and not the other so be aware. If you have a preference for Labcorp (or Quest) for whatever reason, (probably location) then obviously you'd pick the location that's most convenient to you. I'm about to go get the big Complete Panel from Marek done( Labcorp does the blood draw), but after that I'll probably sign up with Fitomics as well because I foresee myself getting my blood drawn as frequently as every month depending on what test I want done and those insider prices are just insane.

I draw q12 weeks for peace of mind. The subscription sorta motivates me to do so.

The owner, Cody, is a super smart fella if yall ever need labs reviewed with you. He did a podcast with Dr. Mike lately. I’ll find link.

LINK

I was going the urologist route but recently d/c’d that. His protocol was shite and labs were useless since I get my own. My labs have never been so good in my 40 years so I’m keeping the coarse.

Tip: Fitomics will do 20% off sales at times. You can purchase multiple sets of labs during that time and use on separate occasions. Just a FYI. I have zero affiliation with them btw. Im just in a discord group with a guy who knows Cody personally and gave us access to the site early on.

Thanks! That’s pretty good. I get all of my health stuff through my GP but hormones are crazy expensive with my deductible so I’m better off going elsewhere.

I’m on a break right now I have been experiencing pretty severe shoulder and foot pain which I believe to be inflammation caused by the TRT. It’s been 3 days since I took a shot now and already I feel better and after experiencing shoulder pain for months and recently having foot pain for about a month.

I have read where the different carrier oils can cause issues for people with inflammation. Maybe I try that or maybe try going back to twice a week intramuscular. I don’t know. All my labs looked great.

Update. Finally got my bloodwork and numbers back.

Test-990
Free-232
SHBG-34.5
Tsh-1.58
Estradiol-83.5 High
Hematocrit-54.8 High
Currently 150week 2 shots. Boron 15mg every morning. Not really feeling much different. Sex drive is a little better hit and miss. A little acne on back and shoulders. Fatigue is hit and miss also. Anything I should be concerned about with the high numbers? Thanks

hematocrit can be elevated from being even slightly dehydrated

For the E2, do NOT get talked into an aromatase inhibitor - instead go to smaller doses more often like EOD and test again in 6-8 weeks

Not sure your body comp but decreasing BF% will also help with e2.

I alternate thighs and butt cheeks. I’m actually only seeing a nurse practitioner, but she’s been open to all my suggestions. At the very beginning, she said if we can’t get me feeling right and my numbers in acceptable ranges, she’d refer me to an endocrinologist.

What size abs length needles do you use? Why did you decide on IM and not subQ?

I’m still trying to dial in my protocol. This week I got bumped from 200 to 250 mg every 2 weeks (should get test results tomorrow), and breaking that up to 125 mg IM every 7 days. I tried the 200 every 2 weeks for a month and felt the trough both times. Felt great at the peaks. I’m just wondering if 125 is enough to get me feeling the same… by the numbers I would think so. May need to bump it up a little more after I do this for a month and re-test.

What are the different levels I should be getting tested along with testosterone?

every 2 weeks

Stop this asap for starters. By the 2nd week of that dose, you’re basically on fumes. You have taken enough to shut down your own supply and the supplemented testosterone is out of your system by then.

I think your plan of 125mg qWeek is a decent option. Try it and see how you feel. But ideally you’d wanna half that and pin twice a week to keep levels more stable.

125mg is a pretty low dose but it may work for you. Draw some labs prior to your injection to get a true trough.

Are you working with a provider? They should know what labs you need, right? Every 3 months I draw CBC, CMP, Lipids, Total/Free T, and IGF-1. I’ll spot check B12 & VitD occasionally.

So I tested at 488 this past Monday, which was the last day after having a 200mg. Same day I took 125 mg for the next week.

Also another data point, back in early February I tested at 632 3 days after getting 200mg (2 week dose). Was this at peak, such that I’d need to get a significantly higher weekly dose to get peak levels up?

At the end of Feb just before another 2-wk 200 mg dose, I tested at 535 a few days before my next dose.

Since early Feb, I was obviously feeling pretty good during the 7-9 days or so in between these 200mg doses.

I’m just concerned that it’s going to take a substantial dose to get levels where they need to be. Before all of this started, I was at 150 last December, 350 last July, and 750 in 2023.

I’m going through my PCP and will ask for these levels tested next time. How long should I give the current 125/wk to test, and when during the week should the test be taken (I inject on Mondays).

This was 2 weeks after injecting 200mg. So that would be your trough.

This seems low especially if your trough after 14 days was 488.

Don’t overthink it. Try 125/wk for 4-6 weeks. See how you feel and draw labs. Bump dose as needed and repeat. I’m personally not jabbing my arse twice a week for a level of 400-500. I feel better around 1000 with a free T of around 30. But we’re all completely different so we you just need to find what works for you.

I do Mon & Thur AM.

I guess what I meant was, in 4-6 weeks what day of the week should I have labs done if I inject on Mondays?

Is there a lab check for estrogen that’s recommended, or does one of the checks you listed do that?
