Nice, I forgot about this thread. I've been doing gsp for 6 months I think. I had to chase someone yesterday and it reminded me I need to do some cardio.

Found an amazing excel template with all the tactical barbell programs

will start the operator template on monday

Monday and Wednesday Squat, Bench and weighted pull ups

Friday Squat, Bench and Deadlift

Will do front squats on wednesday and power cleans on saturday

Will do conditiong Monday through Wednesday, long slow distance run thrusday. More conditioning firday and saturday.

took my record APFT today and got 80 pushups, 92 situps, and ran a 13:30. scored a 294 for my age group, good day

Yesterday was day one of tactical barbell

woke up sorry this morning

didnt even squat that heavy the but the amount of volume once you get into your working sets can sneak up on you.

the squating 3x a week is going to do wonders

template is in my drive now

did day three this morning

that first set of squats was brutal bc i am still sore from monday

had some good crossfit conditiong yesterday and will run a 5K this afternoon at PT.

That 5K ended up fricking brutal. My legs were smoked after mile two. The first two miles I was just over 16mins so a good pace but nothing to hard. Mile three I was struggling to keep a 8:30 pace.

I know eventually this will all pay off but week one is a real shock and awe

the soreness wore off by friday

to bad the barbell slipped out of my hands friday morning doing bench and fricking landed on me

now im sore as frick at the bottom of the chest


the extra leg strenght work will def help with conditiong on runs.

Already seeing a strength improvement and legs being able to handle pace for a longer distance

One thing for sure is you have to fricking eat on this program just to recover properly.

The deadlifts on Friday fricking suck

I’m so spent by the time I get to the heavy weight

I’m going to have to dial back the %
