There's no sugar or added sugar in any flavor I have used so far. Not a single gram.

See the carbs? That’s sugar.

2g of carbs is negligible, even for a diabetic. No, this isn't a product for CHF and hypertensive patients, but that isn't who this is designed for. Most government sponsored nutrition guidelines are garbage as they relate to healthy people.

I agree about the carbs. What is the demographic target consumer is it designed for? Because with that much sodium it shouldn’t be designed or marketed to the average Joe.

it was made by the ketogains crew, but its great for athletes and others that need to replenshish electrolytes without the sugar in a gatorade.

??. Gatorade makes a zero sugar product, as does Powerade and Sqwincher.

It’s designed for athletes that sweat profusely. During the summer months, I use one pack in 32oz of water during my workouts. My clothes are completely drenched in sweat after I workout. I follow that up with at least 96oz of regular water throughout my workday. I really only use this product in high heat/humidity, which is pretty much all summer in South Louisiana.

You do realize how bad artificial sweeteners are. The 2g of carbs come from citric acid.

Maybe go read about the product and who it’s designed for before saying it’s crap.

if you don't eat processed bs, i doubt you really need to worry about 1000mg of sodium. it will actually help improve performance

Now multiply that 1,000mg by let’s say 4 if you are hydrating for 8 hours

Guess you missed the Stevia ingredient in LMNT.
I didn’t say it’s crap. What I’m saying it has too much sodium for the average person

Still not a problem.

do you really think sodium is an issue?

if you dont like the product, dont use it, but it has a very real use, sodium is good for you and is a huge performance enhancer.

sodium is not what causes high blood pressure either, its fluctuations of sodium.

I don’t think it’s an issue. But the American Heart Association would know it is.

From the Cleveland Clinic:

‘Over time, excessive salt intake can lead to high blood pressure (hypertension), which stiffens and narrows the blood vessels. Blood and oxygen flow to key organs decreases. So the heart tries harder to pump blood throughout the body, which further increases blood pressure.’

cool, good job quoting science from the 1980s. plenty of studies that show its more about swings than anything else.

but i dont really give a shite, lmnt was made for people doing keto where you need large amounts of sodium and other electrolytes.

but like you said...you do you but i mean before you insult someone like mingo, you also said 1000mg is too much salt for a day and the 2 carbs in lmnt is too much

I think I’ll take the advice of a world renown research clinic over a dipshit on a website. I did keto and has no problem with it while not absorbing vast amounts of salt. And again, the body needs just 500mg of salt a day. I will do me. Hope you don’t end up in the ER.
