Can we get a running thread on snacks for Keto? That is easily my biggest issue.

Especially if you get good stuff. You have to be very careful - almost all beef jerky in the stores is very high in sugar.

I find myself not snacking nearly as much these days, but I do get the munchies [cough] sometimes and I usually do a snack to go with OMAD and/or activities like paddling or hiking.

I have multiple tiers of snacks, ranging from merely "not going to totally blow my diet" to important nutritious staples, and various degrees in between. Then there's store bought in-a-pinch stuff v. stuff I make.

I have this in an evernote doc, but I need to revise it. Here's a start:

--Macadamias and dark chocolate--throw in wisps/moon cheese and other nuts for a good trail mix.

--Grain-free granola (have crock pot recipe)

--Coconut chips (I think the brand is Dang or something like that)

--Duke's links (the hot andouille ones are my favorite)

--CHEESE

--Boil a bunch of eggs (get an instapot)

--ThinkThin bars (limited--for trips mostly), with almond butter

--Take a pound of ground sage/hot sausage, half stick of softened butter/cream cheese, add a bunch of shredded cheese, a teaspoon of baking powder, 2 eggs, and maybe a cup of almond flour + salt and pepper, red pepper to your liking. stick in oven or air fryer until golden brown. i put more butter on top

--Berries

--Pork rinds (make sure no added shite)

--Frying cheese w squeeze of lemon

more to follow

I've done similar and taken it to the movies with me, one of those eat-in places with the lounge chairs. The little clerk said to me, "Sir, you aren't supposed to bring food in." I said, "That's fine. Go ask your manager to send you back with a Ketogenic diet menu."

A little while later she came back and said that the manager said it was okay, I could keep my own snacks.

What a douchebag comment. Did you really need to eat for those two hours that you had to not comply with their rules?

I get cheese sticks also. Sometimes cheese with pepperoni.

I find trail mix does not get me out most of the times.

Post the grain free granola. Also what is Think Thin bars?

I buy these for my occasional sweet tooth. Need to start making them from scratch.

Let me get the granola recipe from wife. That's her gig. I messed it up when I did it. Tasted like burnt oil. Yum.

ThinkThin are more in a pinch/hiking food. But the fudge ones dipped in almond butter or w macadamia nuts are good. I only buy them if they're on sale for about a buck. Some places try to get $2 a bar. Most grocery stores carry them now.

3 net g carb per bar--mostly erythritol -- 21 g of it so if you're sensitive be careful. One doesn't bother me.

I can't remember if I included this, but whisps w but [wow this phone is really starting to troll me--DO NOT EAT BUTTBUTTER] butter and blueberries is an insanely good combo. I've found that savory, salty, fatty and just a little flavorful sweetness from berries is much more pleasing than either sugar substitutes or lots of sugar.

1. Find smoked salmon on sale
2. Buy all of it
3. Put in freezer
4. Work out of town
5. Let it thaw in ice chest
6. Profit
