Is a Costco membership worth it?

Is it worth it to get a membership for two people? I buy a lot of food to meal prep through out the week.

Yes. Wife and I have a membership and it's just the two of us. I usually pick a large hunk of meat and smoke it on Sunday. That gives me protein the rest of the week for my lunches.
She uses it to buy stuff in bulk like paper towels, TP, cat litter, etc.

They sell alot in bulk, right?

Yes. But I might just use instacart going forward. Saves me time and let's you shop at Sam's and Costco without having a membership.

Its not like a gym membership, it’s like $50 a year, it’s no big deal. If ones by you and you like buying in bulk it’s a no brainer. Throw in tires, travel, car purchasing, hot dogs, alcohol ...

I think so. I don't go all that often, but i come close to breaking even on points, for the membership fee.
Best deals of stuff i buy:
-Ribeyes
-Pork loin
-Salmon (when they have wild-caught), tuna
-Sardines/canned tuna
-Rotisserie chicken
-Organic EV olive oil, coconut oil, avocado oil
-Almonds, pecans and macadamias-
-Wisps and moon cheese
-Good cheese
-It's a mixed bag with produce, their organic berries are a good bit cheaper than most grocery stores, but the quality is hit/miss. organic washed spinach is good deal, as are the brussels sprouts. i don't use enough peppers and onions (fast enough anyway) to buy those in bags, so just get at Sprouts or Aldi
-their turmeric supplement is pretty good
--they usually have some form of decent sugar-free naturally sweetened drink like bai
--cage free organic eggs
--Kerrygold butter
--avocados: but they aren't that great a deal. Aldi usually has good ones that are only a little smaller, for about 1/2-1/3 the price and have smaller pits generally
--i haven't looked recently to see if they carry essential amino acids, BHB or MCT
Missing at most locations: uncured bacon and cold cuts (I've seen both in some but then they disappear), O3 enriched eggs, Dukes links, ceylon (mexican) cinbamon, Milkadamia, full-fat yogurt (it comes and goes),
Then there's just the other shite like beer/wine/liquor(some), mom jeans, suburban-gangster hoodies, big-arse tvs etc. ETA: and yeah tires --wait for $70-$80 off w $1 install. Also the double warranty is nice. Gas is usually a lot cheaper.
if you live nearby, then it's worth it.

They will have a sale of prime beef for the same price as choice fairly often.

All good. I will add:
Diapers
Wipes
Water pouches for kids
Milk
Kirkland coffee
Frozen meat is such a time saver
TP
If you can catch it, they have a great seafood monger.
Eye Dr
Pharmacy
Haven't used it, but read good things on their car buying program

Yup. They have some of the lowest prices for prime packer briskets around.

Without question, yes. The gas alone will pay for itself.
-Vegetables
-Fresh Meat (the large pack of sirloins is awesome)
-Cheese
-Kerrygold butter
-Avocado oil
-EVOO
-Mateo's Salsa
Not food...
-Toilet paper
-Paper towels
-Socks, underwear
-Tires
-TVs
etc..

Yes the organic produce is really good and much cheaper than you can get it at regular grocery stores. They also carry almond flower and coconut oil if you are trying to do a paleo diet. Plus the gasoline is cheap.

Yes, we got our membership through Groupon. Very pleased.

I wanted to dislike it, as I am Sam's guy, but I like Costco. I got in on the Groupon offer (or whatever it was) with perks like a $20 card, 72 ct batteries, etc.
Things I like after 2 visits:
Tumeric gummies
fish oil gummies
Kirkland beef jerky (omg!)
filets
hamburger patties
ribeyes
gas purchase
Things I like at Sams Club better:
Cheaper ribs
rotisserie chicken (The one chicken I picked at Costco was rubbery and would have bounced of a wall if I threw it.)
Marinated salmon
