I have IBS-d. it’s ruined a lot of chances to do things with my kids as they grow up. Started about 7 years ago out of the blue. Soluble fiber didn’t seem to work much, but an apple(high in natural fiber) a day and apple cider vinegar shots seem to stabilize it some. I have to not eat the entire day before a business flight and pop a Imodium. I’m at the point where I may start some kind of KETO diet to see if it works. The new era of remote work was a blessing for me as hour long commutes in gridlock were a nightmare.

Yea, not sure if people truly understand how it can stop you from doing a lot of things, since you might be stuck in the bathroom at any given moment.
My big IBS trigger that I've found so far? Common ground black pepper. It wreaks havoc on me. I switched to ground white pepper when I cook and it's a world of difference.
But, everyone else everywhere uses black, so I still get crushed by it from time to time.

All I can say is carnivore helped some autoimmune issues I was having

To the coward downvoter, how about an actual rebuttal? I was having serious arthritis issues in my hands. I went full carnivore and within months it was gone. I also leaned down to where I have a visible six pack.
Meat isnt a magic bullet. It is ultimately the elimination of things that cause inflammation that helps autoimmune conditions. You slim down because you are very much satiated by eating fat and protein.

many stories of IBS being cured by a carnivore diet

I'd really be interested in a carnivore diet with a smidgen of greens. Green beans, green peas, snap peas, lettuce, cabbage, spinach, jalapeños, serranos, tomatillos, green onions, etc.

I think the best way one would approach it would be to go all meat for a month or two, then add in extra things you want to eat one at a time. If they give you a bad reaction, cut them out. If no reaction, keep em in

How long does a carnivore diet take to show results? What are the stages?

There is a tough adaptation period that will last about a month. Youll start seeing improvement after that. Generally after about 3 months youve cleared most residual things that are causing issues.

I really think that's what I'll do. Try carnivore for a month and then reintroduce veggies one at a time.
What about vitamin C, tho?

Eating high fat carnivore has helped me effortlessly set aside my overeating and carb addiction. It’s crazy how well it works. I’m also losing weight.
I’m not sure what it does for IBS but it’s probably worth the try.

Your need for vitamin C is greatly diminished on a low carb diet.

Looking at different rotisserie ovens to grill meat.
My parents had the original Ronco "Set it and forget it!" unit years ago and it made delicious rotisserie meats.

Well, I started the moving process on Friday November 1st. Taking my time and moving a few loads pretty much every day between work and sleep. I'm under no time constraints to get moved all at once, plus I'm waiting till the big Black Friday sales hit to order new furniture.
I'm on the 3rd floor. Blows goats lugging all my stuff there, but getting a mini-workout every day. Can't wait to get fully moved in by the end of the month and settle into a routine.
Very much eyeing the carnivore diet or at the very least being much more strict on my intake than in the past few years. At this point, just a couple of grilled pork chops/chicken/steak with some green vegetables on a regular basis will probably help me knock off some weight. Tired of eating drive-thru.

i switched to a mostly meat diet appx 6 years ago. feel great. todays food packed from home is 12 scrambled eggs and ~ 1lb grilled beef. both seasoned with S&P and heavy drizzle olive oil. i had IBS as a young adult which i suspect was brought on by binge drinking and shi**y food. all that went away with improved diet

I dealt with IBS-c and as soon as I started taking pro biotics it changed my life. Over the ten years that I’ve been taking them, I’ve tried backing off of them and within a few days I was back to miserable. I would definitely try some.

Depends on how unhealthy you are. If you are fat your body is holding onto all kinds of awful toxins in that fat. Will take 60-90 days on strict carnivore to secret most of it. You have nothing to lose by at least trying it but eating ‘greens’ with it isn’t going to help. If you can’t do strict carnivore do carnivore plus fruit NOT greens.

Fruit sounds good!
Are greens that bad for you?

Its not that they are 'bad' for you I love a salad every once in a while but the fruit (blueberries/blackberries/raspberries/papaya) will provide much better benefits than the 'greens' will from a health/fuel prospective.
