So, I'm 47 and have always been skinny. I have a strong family history of heart disease and diabetes so I do a lot of cardio trying to keep my heart in shape. I ride a bike daily for the cardio. My problem is I have skinny legs and would like to try to build some muscle in my legs. Any advice on a supplement routine?

GOMAD or do the more refined Wendler approach and eat 1.5lbs of 80/20 ground beef and 12 eggs daily. You’ll gain weight.

Lift fricking weights for one and then eat, preferably lots of beef.

Supplement with squats and romanian deadlifts.

If you haven't done them before, hop on a good linear program.

Don’t be intimidated by the “gallon of milk and twelve eggs a day” advice. Which to its credit will definitely help you bulk.

Like others have said, the general idea would be to eat more protein and start lifting weights. Squats specifically.

Look up the Starting Strength program. Run it. Cheers!

Squats and deadlifts. Bike uphill if possible. Your cycling may be burning a lot of your calories, so probably need to increase your calorie intake. Lots of protein, protein powder.

Squats and deadlifts.

During my gym closure, I have had to improvise obviously on these 2. I think LSU777 mentioned pushing a truck in parking lot. I started doing that twice a week on top of an arse load of farmer's walks and lunges with my soft side cooler full of sand and my quads have actually blown up in the last month.

I also eat a metric shite ton of protein too but that is normal for me.

I have done the 20 rep squat program twice and it worked well for me.

but lifting heavy and eating a lot of protein will do you some good.

Actually, I think he did. Squatting and some form of deadlifting in a linear overload progression program is the answer.

It's 5x a better answer than you'll get from an LA Fitness trainer with a weekend "expert" certification who will print you a cookie cutter series of exercises.
