I was like this. Go full retard for 2-3 weeks. You'll notice how much better you feel and you'll eat pizza one night and feel like absolute shite after. Then you can get yourself right.

Start slow and get into a routine. Biggest thing that helped me with my diet was finding a few healthy things that I didn't mind eating all the time. Makes food prep easy

I think the biggest thing for me was to show progression, & fast. So let's get you on the keto diet or whole30 challenge. Give it 10 days or even a week, you'll see progress in weight loss if you stick to it. It you don't yearn for more if that you might be hopeless

I’ve been up and down for years. Avatar Nutrition and flexible dieting has been a God send for me. People are shocked when they see the things i am able to eat while losing a couple of pounds a week. Once I realized that no food was off limits it really took the pressure off. Get ahold of the diet and then look at adding exersize.

Well to start with, download my fitness pal and start logging everything. Be truthful with serving sizes. This will at least show you how much you are eating.

For exercise try and do 25 push-ups, 30 sit-ups and a 30 min walk while fasted for 2 weeks and see how you feel.

As far as a way to not eat as much

1) stop eating breakfast. Eat all your calories from 11-7 or 12-8.

2) while eating, after each bite, put your fork down, chew slowly, take a sip of water and wipe your mouth. Do this after each and every bite. This will force you to eat slower giving your brain time to tell you that you are full.

Motivational videos for me. You don't have much time. Life is short. Almost always the thing that separates greats from the averages is hard work. Hard work is something everyone can possess. Winners fail. Odds are they will fail more than the losers, the difference is they keep going until they win.

There's a ton of videos, speeches, whatever. Find one that connects to you and listen over and over until it becomes you. Here's a few I like.

Roll the dice

WAKE UP WITH DETERMINATION

Motivational Video & Speeches Compilation @16:30 is my favorite part of that one

Sometimes motivation can come from your desire to be healthier for your wife, kids. I remember that doing these things hopefully means I’ll stick around a little longer. For me, I think of my health as a train moving down the tracks. Took a minute to get moving in one direction, now I’m not only trying to stop the train, I want it to go the other way. Usually takes me two weeks to see a real change in the scale if I’m strict and persistent. And lastly, I’ll tell you what I tell my 13 year old.. you only fail when you stop trying. Good luck brother.

I'm a cyclist. Usually ride after work 2-3 times a week. Biggest thing that has always got me on the bike after a long say is u never regret riding during or after the workout

I been doing this with anabolic fasting from Cory’s Gregory’s program and freaking love it. 2 meals a day, 8 oz lean meat and a bag of frozen green veggies. Then get an insulin/carb spike at night before bed.

Having said that, I think for someone who’s been off the wagon for a little while this may be a bit advanced. They need to start with something like zone and figure out what works for their body and have a slow progression into it.

Start by eating a good healthy breakfast. And on lunch and dinner have something to satisfy your craving. Give it 2 weeks then eat a healthy breakfast and lunch and on dinner indulge. Another 2-3 weeks in and make all 3 of your meals healthy. Give yourself 2 cheat days a week. All while increasing your exercise.

I'm 35 years old, 6'2 230. Not fat but really want to lose a few lbs. my problem is every time I try a diet I can't stick to it. A couple of weeks ago was talking to a friend and got this incredibly simple but amazing advice. When you have a meal, whether it's at a restaurant or at home, eat all of your food if it's healthy (lean proteins, veggies etc). If you decide to eat something unhealthy, only eat half. Pretty solid advice imo

You have to find something bigger than yourself. In my case my father died when I was 20 from a heart attack brought on my diabetes, smoking, over weight etc.

I made a commitment that if I had kids and a wife I would do everything I could to live as long as possible.

When I don't feel like working out or want to eat unhealthy, I tell myself..."Live Long"

You have to find that thing that is bigger than you. There's a great saying that goes "If the why is big enough the how to will happen".

Find your why.

Give up soda. I gave it up, and it kept me from wanting fast food, chips, pizza, etc... if I did eat something like a burger, I had water with it. You’d be surprised how it makes a difference.
