I would say 70% of the men at my Crossfit gym can hit a 1 RM of 315
The ones that can’t are either brand new to lifting or tiny or older
I also see what new members think a full depth squat is. Guys that come from a globo gym have no clue how to hit depth.
CrossFit is so superior to every other form of exercise

nah, no way.
but you should drop into a class so they can teach you how to do a full squat & a real push up. then we can see what your real angie time is

Btw your CrossFit gym is an exception not a rule.

A while back, some kid joined up and we were working up to a 3 rep heavy back squat. The coach that day asked if he knew his max and he said he did 405 in high school, which wasn’t that long ago.
He could barely hit 275 with proper depth so it’s obvious his 405 was probably a 1/4 squat, at best.

You mean chest hitting the floor? I can do 100 of those in two minutes. Maybe I will drop in to show you how to do a pull up

If I had to guess, maybe 25% of the men at our gym could hit 315 right now.
My CF total (Strict Press, Squat and DL) is probably 950-1000. Depends on my DL at the moment.

I never said it was the rule. but....
Maybe this was accurate then but I just dont think it now, especially the college athlete part. There isnt a kid on LSU that couldnt squat 3 plates. and for normal gym goers, 3 plates isn't much for someone on a good squat program that squats regularly.

When I used to workout in commercial gyms there weren't many guys going further than 3 plates. Even in the college athlete gym back in those days, outside of football linemen, some of the LBs, and all of the T&F throwers (them dudes were crazy strong), I didn't see too many guys putting up 350 plu

anyone working out regularly should be on a good squat program. that's there bad then

Their***, and while I agree that doesn't make it true. There's guys I see in my gym every day that I've never seen do a Squat. Most do some kind of arm workout then maybe Bench or something and leave.

We have at least 100, and yes, I bet only 20-25 can do it.
Some don’t put a priority on lifting heavy.
Based on the heavy FS single we did a few weeks ago, about 33% could hit a 315 back squat based on that FS number. We had around 51 guys in the gym that day and only 17 or so hit a weight greater than 255, and the usual heavy lifters made it in that day. If we had a full turnout (all male gym goers) that percentage would be lower.

can you get creatine from progenex?
Posted on 12/18/18 at 9:47 am to Lester Earl
I can. You like their Creatine Peptides?

Been to plenty of cf gyms In the LC area and usually out of 50 males maybe and I mean maybe can hit a 315 back squat.
90% of gym goers aren't on a program at all much less a squat program

Please post a video in the Challenges thread if you really can do this.
