Barbell still serves its purpose but could use some love. No significant rust, luckily, but needs some cleaning. Have any of y’all cleaned one before? Appreciate the tips.

Rogue sells tons of barbell cleaning supplies.

3n1 oil and a nylon brush and elbow grease. Look up barbell rescue brush for something that may save you some time.

If you don’t have any rust, do what fieldengineer said to do

Pull the sleeves, clean, and re-lube.

I had to use a brass wire brush attachment on my drill for my barbell, I waited way too long. Then I used 3n1.

Will scratch the hell out of it.
Best thing is pull the snap rings, pull the sleeves, put everything in a vinegar bath if it’s real bad.
If not get a wire brush and 3:1 oil
