Healthy rehydrating powders or tablets?

It is hot as Summer in Texas in DFW now but I still have to do yard work or jog, etc. and I would like to kick up the rehydration properties of the water I drink. I have used Hydralyte for a few years and it helps but I wondered if there are healthier options out there? Propel, Nuun, Liquid IV tablets, etc. - are any additives for water that are clearly healthier than others?

Most stuff is garbage because they don’t contain enough electrolytes except for sodium. Most companies are afraid to put a decent amount of potassium in their product because you can overdose on potassium (you’d have to be an idiot).
The best I’ve found is k1000 electrolyte powder or dr bergs electrolyte powder on Amazon.

I'm really liking LMNT. Wish it had more potassium but It's my go to thus far.

I like to use pedialyte. I don’t know if it’s really the best option available, but it seems to work well for me.

Second the LMNT recommendation.

I liked liquid iv but stayed away from it this year. Unfortunately, I’ve replaced it with cold miller lite.

I switch between Nuun and Liquid IV.
Also after every run or cycling session I drink a tall glass of whole chocolate milk and I swear that shite works miracles.

Thanks for all the great replies. I didn’t mention in the OP but a huge plus is that it comes in tablets or packets so I can throw a couple of servings in a tackle bag or backpack. Although the Lite beer suggestion was my first choice, I think I’m leaning towards Dr Berg’s because you can get a box of 32 foil packets.
Thanks again.
Thanks again.

I like 100% apple juice if I’m dehydrated. Gives me good energy too. Think it’s the B vitamins.
Natural coconut water is something else I use for this.

More likely the arse load of sugar.

Yeah the sugar contributes. And it’s natural fruit sugar. Coconut water doesn’t really have that much. I’m not really anal about avoiding sugar at all costs. Right after a weight workout, for example, is a great time to consume your simple sugars because your muscles want glucose. Also, if I’m dehydrated because of a stomach bug or whatever these juices work better than any powder I’ve tried.

Whats the difference between that sugar and any other sugar?

I use Nuun. Honestly don't know how effective it is or compares to others. I like the small easy to carry form factor and it's cheap and it doesn't taste too sweet. The Ginger Lemon flavor is fkn nasty though.

For one, we’d probably all agree that the nutritional trade off of eating grapes or cantaloupe is better than eating donuts for a snack.
Natural sugars are digested slower than refined sugar. When you eat refined sugar you have a huge insulin and blood sugar spike. Not so with natural sugars. Also you don’t feel as satiated after eating the refined crap which increases appetite and this obesity. And fruits have more fiber than things like donuts.
Yes I know all of this may not apply to juices. If I’m dehydrated though I’d rather drink natural juice than some stuff formulated in a lab to mimic what nature does to rehydrate us.

Link to any of this?

Correct, those juices are stripped of almost all of the "good" stuff you mentioned.

That "stuff formulated in a lab" is all natural substances if you are buying the right shite that has been combined to optimize getting dehydrated instead of needing 3 or 4 or more different sources to get everything you need.

Here you go LINK just from a quick Google
I mean if I buy 100% coconut water I don’t know how it’s stripped of the good stuff. For one I trust the label. Secondly I trust my taste buds as I’ve drank many fresh coconuts over the last few years. And of course I’ve seen results from drinking it before. As a slight tangent, doctors for military troops jungles used to (still?) use coconuts as IV liquid for people as the water is sterile and is full of potassium and other electrolytes.
So what’s your recommended optimized powder and why?

Nothing in that article, not study, backs up what you said. In fact, it does the exact opposite

Think you just want to argue dude. Where are your rigorous studies? Why do you keep moving the goalposts?
Do you realize that bigpharma and companies have a financial incentive to commission studies so that they can “prove “ that their products are awesome?
Find someone else to argue with and have a nice day.

Yes, but those aren't the only studies that exists.

When they say something factually incorrect as you did, I will
