W1D1 today: the new TMs made that a lot of benching, and that made the OHP hard and that made the triple superset and close grip push-ups all hard too. We are gonna get jacked running this for sure!

W1D3 down

Very solid day. Squats felt just right; not too hard and not too easy. Same with rows and pull aparts. I went a little heavy on the RDLs. Used 65% of a 95%TM deadlift max. Thats the one I'm going to be feeling tomorrow. This plan is definitely more intense that PS1.

I started Pool Season II a couple of weeks ago, right after 4 weeks of Grasshopper.

Yesterday I was doing W3D3, which is a squat day. Did all of my squat reps, then started the superset and just gave up.

It was one of those days where I just didn't have the motivation or the strength. These days pop up from time to time, but this was the first time in my 7 weeks of PPSA that I didn't finish a workout. I'm pretty upset with myself today, but got to get back on the horse today for W3D4.

Progress is built on consistency. Don't let one day here and there get to you. Do you take a preworkout? There are a lot of days I'm not really feeling the energy and then that tingle starts creeping up.

W1D3 done, I’m struggling at the end of these workouts too. I think PS2 is just tougher.

Man I’m going to feel those lunges tomorrow, it’s been a while since I’ve done those

I liked today. The 20 2 arm rows and band pull aparts had me burning. I’ve always enjoyed lunges so I liked the ending. I’ve been throwing in a little ab work at the end also. Just a few sets of rollers or leg raises.

It definitely has more volume which I like. Plus I upped my max on just squat so I like it being a little tougher.

W1D2 done in an hour or so. That was a lot of deadlifting! I had missed forearm work in season 1; reverse grip curls have them popping now though!

W1D4 done

Loving this plan so far! Every day has felt more intense than the day before. Woke up this morning and definitely feeling those lunges from yesterday. Today took me 1:26.
Probably could've been a little quicker if I didn't get distracted so easily. Initially I thought the bench % could be a little higher. However, by the time I got to the close grip presses I appreciated him letting us keep a little extra reserve in the tank. Those Zottman curls are a nice slow curl. Had too light of a weight for 1st set so bumped it up for 2-4. By the end of set 3, I was definitely feeling them. Excited to see how this plan progresses!

For anyone that hasn’t bought Pool Season I he just posted this on Instagram. W1D4 was my favorite day of that plan.

Hit W3 D4 yesterday afternoon. Much better workout for me than the previous day- hit every rep plus a few extra sets from D3 that I missed.

Much better feeling going into the weekend.

Definitely feel some soreness in the legs.
Pump Friday was great. Used my trap bar to do rows and shrugs which was nice.
