This plan makes CANNONBALLS great again. POOL SEASON II is here. The original Pool Season took 2018 by storm. Quickly becoming the all time favorite 4 day per week plan. Part II brings more to the party.
Who can forget BIG BENCH MONDAY, STRONG BACK TUESDAY, BIG SQUAT THURSDAY, and BIG PUMP FRIDAY? Another 4 week, 4 day per week Strength Training plan that dedicates some serious love to the 3 main lifts followed with some crazy cardio with names like “Backarms” , “Suns Out , Guns Out” , “Sky’s Out, Thighs Out” , and “Trap City.” Plan is designed for Males and Females.
Back Squat = Two Days Per Week
Deadlift = One Day Per Week
Bench Press= Two Days Per Week
Back Work = Three Days Per Week

I went ahead and started a new thread to keep them separate. I like it when we can go from one program to another without missing any days. I’ve downloaded it but haven’t looked through it yet.

Got off track with the last one. Back injury followed by a hand injury. But ready to kick this one off tomorrow!

Hoping I can get restarted one of these days. I miss the gym.

Got W1D1 planned out. Cannonball delts don’t look fun.

I'll be in to start next week still out of state on vacation!

W1D1 done. Main lifts were great. The supplemental lifts were horrible. Totally out of gas on the OHP, dropped 10lbs to finish last set. Cannonball delts I was using 5lb plates. I can definitely tell the bad diet all weekend and 6 hrs of sleep caught up with me

I've got 8 lb dumbbells penciled in. We'll see how it goes.

W1D1 down
That was a lot more intense than I anticipated for the 1st day of the plan. Even the warm ups were solid; 80 empty bar bench and row reps?!? I started with bench but accidently used 75% and 80% on the 1st 2 sets before I realized it. I had to drop weight on the 4th set of OHP also. Failed the 3rd set at 7 reps. The lat raises were absolute torture; front were ok and rear felt good.
Tomorrow looks intense also 42 total deadlifts (snatch and normal).

I had planned on using 12s for all 3. For fronts I ended up doing 12/10/10, sides 10/10/8, and rear 10/10/10.

Ran this in March so probably will not be joining but this is my favorite PPSA program, y’all enjoy. Think I’m going to try out Big Back Billy

Slept in this morning. Call weekend sucked the sleep out of me. Going to start tomorrow morning.
Going to use 92-93% of 1 RM for Season 2.

I bumped squats & deads up 10 and bench up 5. My squat TM is pretty well above anything I've ever actually done for one rep now so we'll see how it goes.

I did the same. The volume is bumped up compared to season 1 so anyone that stays with the same training max, you will still do more

W1D1- definitely more volume, I’m feeling it. This Delts SS is tough
