well i will say this, lighten them up and let them go deep into the stretch and within a couple weeks they will become your best friend. you just arent used to them but they help a ton with opening up the shoulder girdle. I hated them at first and now the combo of them supersetted with pullups are my favorite.
Yup, makes sense. On the first set I def had an o shite fvck this moment, but once I dropped the weight down I def got the feel that it could be good for mobility and stability. I gotta do more different movement exercises. I pretty much do only pure horizontal like bench or rows or pure vertical like oh press and pull-ups.
Makes sense to mix it up!

May be a glutton for punishment, but I did the overhead farmer’s walk with kettlebells (bell up) this morning.
That’s a good one.

80minutes w2d2 done. Felt great, added 21lbs to chins which im pretty proud of. I couldn't do 1 chin last summer.
Those overhead walks get my shoulders screaming by about 90 yards

Solid day. I like the back heavy days. My chins are suffering though. I was doing them weighted a few months ago now I’m body weight.

I may be out for a bit. Apparently pulled some muscles in my upper back.
Get better FieldEngineer, hope it's minor

It sucks missing some days but you don’t want to turn it into something bigger. Hope it’s short.

Take care of your back; the weights will still be there when you are better!
Deadlifts felt heavy; row/delt raises were as always; carries felt better today even with the extra set. First time using a dip belt for weighted chins: 25lb weight felt like enough but then I went AMRAP and knocked out 6 slow good reps on last set. That was a mistake cause the db curls and reverse grip curls felt hard AF afterwards lol. That was a good workout tho; feeling strong again.

Finishing up W2D2. That super set with rows and reverse flys lights me up. Brutal. Looking forward to a rest day tomorrow. I do enjoy the challenge of these workouts and pushing myself though. Haven’t seriously tracked deadlifts in years so getting back into that has been fun

W2d2 done sort of
So did the dead’s and felt great, didn’t use a belt
Did the chins with 18lbs hanging and the pullovers and felt pretty good
after 2nd set of rows and rear delt flyes I was hurting, after the 3rd wet I was completely done and now pretty much feel like shite. Took me like 15 min to get through those 3 sets. Completely wiped….not sure why. Gonna get shower and go to sleep early for sure.

It hit all at once? Sounds like you’re sick.

Hope those ailing start feeling better
W2D3 done. That shoulder circuit with carries whooped my arse today. Bench has been feeling really good so far on this program but idk if I’m going to be saying that still on W4D3 when it’s sets of 8 haha

A little upper back and hamstring soreness this morning but all in a good way. Feel like I’m working everything nicely. Going for a cardio day with walking and rowing.

I had a good amount of upper back soreness this morning rolling out of bed, but it felt good.
Going on a long walk tonight after dinner.

My back is pretty tight and sore, which kinda makes sense after a 32 working set pull day. I’ve halfway decided he programs deadlifts specifically to wear you out before the rest of the workout.
Still pretty sure we are getting jacked on these programs

The walking has been helping me recover I think. Been taking the dogs on 45-50 min walks on my rest days and I think it’s helped
