I personally do not know anyone that has gotten the virus twice. I'm curious how long the antibodies actually last.

I’ve had it twice. Last summer and this summer. First time was a joke, but it knocked me on my arse the second time.

If anyone says they had it twice they probably had one false positive. New studies are showing the antibodies are still in people's systems at least one year out. Odds are that will keep getting extended, too. Just like almost every other virus.

This makes zero sense to me. The reverse would make sense, as you could have it again and not have symptoms. Or a false positive on the first would make sense. Were there any symptoms on the first?

I had an extremely mild fever (99-100) for one night and lost my sense of taste for a few days the first time. Second time, I was sick as a dog for an entire week.

I agree it doesn’t make sense, but it is what it is.

That’s odd

In addition to that should t a virus be weaker if it’s transmitted easier

I do know people that are fully vaccinated that are down with it. The oddest part is that anyone I knew that had it in 2020 pretty much just lost their taste and smell, no other real symptoms. It was a 2 week vacation for them. The few friends that have gotten it recently have lost their taste/smell, but also are running fever, having stomach issues, and terrible terrible headaches.

It depends. If they got a mRNA vaccine it does make sense with the very likely ADE.

I work with someone that has a friend that currently has it for her third time. She works at the State Capitol building.

This, plus just feel weak as shite with no energy. A trip to my kitchen from my bed is an adventure. I bet I am gonna lose 10 pounds over this because my appetite is next to zero. And gains, it will be an uphill climb just to get back to anywhere close to normal I am afraid.
