Getting old sucks, even with the alternatives. I'm 75, had a nice life, great wife and family, money has not been a problem, but damn, enjoy your younger, healthier years. Somewhat crippled from a spinal injury, I've dealt with that, now they're debating over a brain tumor or optic damage.

I shouldn't complain, so many bear heavier crosses, but not being able to watch LSU games is hard to take. But, I'm not a child with cancer, or their parents. My escape valve is helping those worse off and posting this to inspire you, don't waste a day, Shut off the trash TV, eschew video games, get out and live.

Hey man sorry about the situation but thank you for the message!!! Youth is wasted on the young right!!!!

Lots of new technology out there that may help. Get a second opinion/second look at your situation. And keep us posted.

Thanks for the prayer and encouragement. I had testing yesterday, retina specialist gave me a thorough exam and pronounced my symptoms as temporary, said they will likely disappear within a few weeks. With pre-diabetes I didn't want to take any chances. Deaf I could live with, blind is another matter.

Andouille,
Thanks for that message! I’m approaching 73 and each day am reminded how fortunate it is to have working senses, limbs, etc., as we age. Prayers offered for you as you move forward in life.
