10 min EMOM
20 Dubs
6 Single leg deadlift (3 each side) 40# dbell in each hand
Rest 5:00
10 min EMOM
20 Dubs
Max supine bar rows
this one was deceptively challenging.

AlxTgr,
So sorry to hear this. I almost missed it scanning through the posts. Said a prayer for you and your family.

Goodness. So sorry for your loss.
I bet you feel better once you start working out again. It will bring back good memories of y’all working out together. And, get those endorphins pumping.
Stay strong

Glassman has ruined these announcements and I’m afraid the games too.

The Games are so lackluster this year.
I'm looking at this WOD with even more disdain than 19.1. I think the terrible rendition of the Games this year makes the workouts feel even worse because nobody is pumped
I'll have to do the scaled version. And honestly that many squat cleans will take me a while. Even at 95lb my fat arse gets taxed hard on squat cleans. I'll be surprised if I finish the first round.

This is all Castro
Glassman said he doesn’t give a frick about the games or open

Glassman has fleeced the affiliates. They pay for nothing.

There’s always a repeat, so it’s not unexpected. I like the tweak though. At least it’ll be an 8-min workout for those that will struggle with Rx standards.
But watching these announcements is so painful.

Totally agree Hulk. People that worked out all year to kill the Open and make it to Regionals now have nothing. I know a girl how made Regionals the last 2 years and had the opportunity to workout against some elite women. What are these people to do now? That is all on Glassman for making the changes. But hes more worried about world health than who wins the Games.

I enjoy the sanctioned events
But the format making the open almost useless bc only 20 people from it make it to the games and ditching regionals is dumb
19.1 was a workout everyone could do RX’d
19.2 fricking forget about it, those men’s squat clean weights are for elite level athletes

I'll have to do the scaled version

I'm gunna RX and just see how far I get. Gunna be redlining the entire way so may just pass out with 185 instead of finishing
If I really stink it up I'll try scaled Sunday/Monday.
ETA: After watching two slightly above average guys on youtube it looks like Ill finish the first half before 4 minutes easily, but be dead and just crawl through the second half. Didn't realize you get 4 minutes with each competed round. Still not confident I'll finish 2 rounds

I’m hoping to finish the doubles on the 225 round then potentially get 1 at 225.
Going to do the toes to bar in 5s and single the cleans from the start.
In reality I probably won’t get out of the 185 and have to retry Monday with a better rep scheme. Seems to be how these usually work

What I don't like is how doing 1 RX rep of t2b and then quitting means more than doing a scaled version where you make all 5 rounds in 20 minutes.
I am old and fat and have the mobility of a potted plant, but I'm trying to get better and stay young for my son. Scaled is a better workout for me but then I let my team down. How the Open is arranged now seems antithetical to how Crossfit developed.
Enough griping:
Yesterday:
Partner workout
250 cal assault bike (13:00 cap)
300 du/ 600su
100 sdhp (95lb)
100 BBJO
100 push press
300 du/ 600su
50 OHS
35min total cap
(no one finished)
