It probably wasn’t a good choice since I did this yesterday:

5x2

7 second countdown with 3 second hold
back squat (95)

Then
1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8-9-10
DB squats (30)
60 single unders in between each set


But my shoulder is hurting and I didn’t want to do anything to make it worse.

night time session in the garage with this amazing weather

Strength back squats worked up to a 275 triple

Conditioning - 20 Min AMRAP

5 dumbbell cleans @ 35lbs
5 dumbbell thrusters @ 35lbs
5 alternating dumbbell snatches @ 50lbs
5 kettle bell swings @ 53lbs
5 push ups
5 toes to bar
5 dead hang pull ups

Weighted step down
Db pullover
Straight bar reverse curl
DB preacher curl

Everything 8x8 w/ 3 second negative except power cleans. :30 rest between alll sets

You guys work out when sick? I've got a chest cold, coughing a bunch. I skipped today and went for a walk instead. Tomorrow's WOD is a little less cardio but still a lot of volume.. having an inner debate.

First workout max effort one mile run 7:06, I definitely tailed off the last 400 meters and run against I pretty strong wind didn’t help. But I for sure have. 6:45 time frame in my locker.

Second workout 12 min AMRAP

3 deadlifts at 225lbs
5 dumbbell presses each arm at 35lbs
10 toes to bar

Third workout
EMOM 10 rounds

Odd rounds 5 double dumbbell snatches at 50lbs and 10 pushups
Even rounds 5 kettle bells swing at 53lbs and 5 dead hang pull ups

I mentioned this in another thread, but don't go if you are contagious. We had the flu go through our gym last winter and almost everyone got sick over the course of two weeks. All that because someone worked out while contagious.

Yesterday...

30 min AMRAP partner workout

500M Row (Alternating) then
20 burpees
20 Box Jumps 24/20

When the other is rowing you hold double KB in the Front Rack: 53/35. If you put the KBs down before they row 500M, you add 5 burpees to that round,

We never put KBs down but my partner only had the 26lb KBs and he was killing me with a 2:20 row 500m avg..

4 rounds + 300M

Later that day:

DB Curls: 40x8 for 2 sets, 45x6
Barbell Curls: 85x6 for 3 sets

Single DB Extensions: 70x10, 80x8, 90x8, 100x7
Weighted dips: 35lb x 8, 44x8, 53x7

First time I’ve done a true bicep workout since tearing the left bicep tendon. Normally I do 3 movements but had to cut down due to time. Struggled a little with the left, but that was expected.

B. FT: 50 KB Goblet Squats (70/53), 100 tuck crunches, 50 Russian KB swings

A: 355
B: 10:01 Rx

I’m terrible at tuck crunches. After 30, I did sets of 5.

I had Heath checking my depth because i am now paranoid about it. He said it was perfect at 305.

Took me over 18 I think and that's not even with the 20lb ball. I simply have no motor and am not making any improvement that I can determine.

So, I bounced a barbell off the top of my head putting it down after OHS. Not sure how I even managed that. I've got a huge knot on the top of my head.


Also, I was told by a lady that she liked the smell of my laundry detergent. Evidently she could smell it as she was running behind me.

A friend of one of our coaches walked into our Barbell Club one Saturday morning, dude was trying to be a badass and did a snatch and was bringing the bar down to touch-n-go into the next one and scraped the barbell down his face.

This happened during warmup, only had maybe 95# - 115# on the bar.


He immediately hit the door and to the hospital to go get stitches.
